schen3571
Ok, I have DLed M14A Pulse Rifle Mod, followed instructions on how to DL and got FOMM and the works. THat MOD works fine. Now, When I try to DL Dimon99 Type 3 body mod, I just cant get it to work. I dont see the MOD in order for me to "check" it in FOMM. I noticed that it doesnt have the .ESP extention at all when I first extracted it. Questions are: 1. Does EVERY MOD need to have a .esp file for it to work properly?2. I am so confused on the Archive Invalidation thing. do I apply b4 installing the mod into fallout3/data folders? or do I apply after????3. Do I need to create .esp files if they are missing? 4. Is there something I should be doing in FOMM??? Sorry for all the quesitons and maybe someone can help me. Thanks
gsmanners
With all mods, it helps if you read their instructions. Type 3 is nice in that it includes instructions: REQUIREMENTS: 1. FOMM http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=6402. ArchiveInvalidation Invalidated http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=944 Install: 1.Unzip/unrar to any location.2.Open either folder 3.Copy contents (folder named meshes) into your Data folder4.Allow for overwrite For "body" part of the mod, you install one of the body type's "meshes" folder to your Fallout data folder. For "texture" parts of the mod, you install to "textures". You apply the Archive Invalidation thing whenever you feel like, just make sure the .bsa is installed to your data folder. schen3571
I have done all that. The Archive invalidation is in my Data folder. When I click apply invalidation, I dont see anything happening, or anything change in the data folder. I guess thats where the hang up is. When I launch the game from FOMM, all models still look the same.
