auraMods
Hi everyone. Started another playthrough of my favorite game and actually managed to get it running smoothly on Win7, with a generous handful of mods. No problems except for the occasional memory usage crash (FOSE, Stutter Remover, Large Address Aware helped fix that)... that is until I got to the Citadel Lab. On the table where the T-45d power armor is the dreaded red triangle. I've gone through and made sure all my compatibility patches are in order, a merged patch is in place, and Archive Invalidation has been checked twice-over. I don't think that any of my mods change power armor meshes...not 100% sure though. However, I did install CaBaL's Bornagain T-45d power armor. I'm not sure what's causing the conflict. Furthermore, it seems to only be an issue when the armor is dropped. M48A5
One fast way to check is to disable the mod you think is causing the problem. If that corrects the mesh error, use FO3Edit to check that the correct mesh is being referenced. You can use FO3Edit to make the correction. You can use FO3Edit to make the correction.ArmorPowerHelmet > T-45d Power Helmet and ArmorPower > T-45d Power Armor in FO3Editare under the FWE Main File.esp. Knight Captain Colvin references those two and I have no graphical bugs with him. I don't think that's the reference I'm looking for, though. I only have an issue with power armor that has been dropped. Outcast Power Armor also shows up as the error when I drop it.
M48A5
In FO3Edit, check all the mods that touch the power armor. One of your mods is using the wrong reference for the dropped power armor. I had this problem in the outcast armory at the end of Operation Anchorage. A mod changed the reference for the shock sword, but only the one that was dropped. It was so long ago, that I don't remember what I had to change. I only know it was hard to find.

I'm fairly new to the more intricate points of modding and a lot of this is going to look like a garbled mess for awhile. :'DFirst, I assume that the dropped version doesn't have the same reference point as the armor itself. If so, what category will the dropped version be under?
M48A5
In FO3Edit, open the Fallout3.esm and then Armor. The first Power Armor should be the T-45d. Left click on the name and in the right window will be the file details. Look for "Male World Model" and read across to the right. Make sure that all the mods that reference the T-45d all have "Armor\PowerArmor\PowerArmorGO.nif" This is the mesh file that is being overwritten which results in the error symbol you are seeing in the game. Deleted2043927User
I was having the same issue this morning. Go into fo3edit. "Blackened FWE + MMM + EVE + Project Beauty.esp" is causing the issue because I have the same file. Once you're in FO3edit expand Fallout3.esm then armor. Look for the EditorID with the label ArmorPower. Click it and scroll right on the big table on the right of the editor. Like M48A5 said above look for Male World Model. Scroll until you see the top header of table column says "Blackened FWE + MMM + EVE + Project Beauty.esp" look down to Male World Model. Click edit on the one in male world model related to Blackened. Right click edit on that text delete the old text and TYPE this line: Armor\PowerArmor\PowerArmorGO.nif. Once again like M48A5 ALL lines in Male World Model should say this. This should fix all T45D power armor missing models. Sorry if the desc made me sound like a sarcastic jerk, not my intentions. Oh, and thanks a bunch M48A5. Edited June 20, 2014 by Guest
auraMods
You didn't come across as sarcastic at all, don't worry! Thank you very much, both of you, that worked in fixing the problem with the T-45d Power Armor. At first, the Outcast Power Armor set was still showing an error. I checked again for any inconsistencies, and the culprit was once again Blackened.Since you had the same problem earlier death, did you let the mod author know?
