MonsterHunterMaster
i have a very annoying problem with my computermy laptop is now running for a while and suddenly he said explorer.exe has got a problem. then he says explorer.exe gets restarted. The computer runs normal during this errors, for example when he says explorer.exe has a problem i can write some things in the internet explorer, what i do right now, also the media player works fine during these errors.but the problem is, the errors come over and over again after a few seconds, which is very annoying.i had this problem a few days ago, then i restarted my omputer some times and it worked again, but i guess it comes back sometimes if i do this again..is this just another of windows 7 problems? anyone has experienced the same problem? can anyone help me?help is much appreciated! :thanks:
Illiad86
sheesh :( explorer.exe shouldn't crash like that! woah... My boyfriend has Windows 7 Pro and never experienced such problems. I'd say the best thing to do is a fresh install of Windows, explorer.exe is pretty important :P You could also possibly have a virus.

Illiad86
hum, well if it's not causing any problems, I guess you can ignore it until MS releases a fix for it in Windows Update. My boyfriend doesn't have this bug, guess he's lucky, hasn't had a single problem. Just one of those little annoyances you have to deal with for a little while :) Weird though, I would hate that, says explorer.exe has stopped responding and it's still responding lol... Balagor
It is a normal Win7 bug. I have it too, and I hope that there soon will be an update for the issue.I don´t know whether you run the 64-bit or the 32-bit version. The 64-bit version of Win7 has a 32-bit Explorer, that actually runs better. MonsterHunterMaster
i have a 6-bit version...well, i hope they fix this soon.. :thanks: for the help both of you, get +1!
Thor.
Windows 7 64bit has both versions 64bit and the 32bit explorer. If you have problems with 7 try to remove it and reinstalling it. that sometimes helps. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/957700 Me i stick with firefox 90% of the time and i never go back, well only that occasional site that only supports explorer. Also yes i do agree that explorer is probably the most bug ridden browser on the market, its sucks..
gormonk
wot you are describeing is bilt into windows 7 so that if internet explorer does crash you dont lose any content that you are downloading or lose any page that your on, it basicly compleatly restors your last browsing session without disrupting the outher prosesses note i have windows 7 64 bit pro
Balagor
Funny thing is if I run the 64-bit browser, I get the same issues as descriped in the topic. If I swap for the 32-bit browser I have no problems.

Its not a Windows 7 bug, its a Explorer bug in general, it also happens in XP. Completely freezes and crash's, sound familiar. Well by removing any addons you may have installed, i had that happen before and it helped me out. If you really want my opinion use firefox.. Crash's solved  or use the method on my first post.
