DLC items for Awakening

Stratified

Recommended Posts

I'm not really an expert on modding so bear with me if I don't know the technical terms for anything.

I'm pretty sure most of you know that Awakening has been scheduled for release next month. And in the FAQs that were released, Bioware stated that DLC items wouldn't be allowed to ship over with your character among other things (like Jesus style resurrection Warden but that's beside the point).

My request, however early it may be, is for someone to allow items like Starfang, Helm of Honnleath, the Warden Commander's Set; etc, to be made available in Awakening.

That being said, if it's not possible due to unavailable sources (I think I read this somewhere about people not being able to touch DLC because of this; not sure if it's the real reason), then I'm alright with that too. Only thing I can give if this is made however, is my thanks and some kudos.

I believe it could be possible to remake the items. When the time comes that is. They might not look the same and similar, but they may be named the same, have the same stats and similar. So I think that could be a solution Stratified. Imho good that you brought this up, will be interesting to see how Bioware will utilize this. I mean people paid for the DLC so I'd be surprised if they left it out.

What Bioware stated was that it wouldn't ship over with your character, according to you. That makes me believe the items will still exist in the game. Though not (again) with your new/imported character.

Actually if we can get custom modules into the game, it'd be very easy to rip out all the DLCs from the erfs and remake them as a custom module and bam! there's your DLC content right there.

Problem is, if its released, all the other people who didn't pay for the DLC will have access to DLC only items. Which wouldn't trouble me given how BioWare has decided to give the middle finger to everyone who paid for their DLCs.

Not really some came with promotion, others were bought with the game. Most would have the stone prisoner and the blood dragon armour.

Edit: Most DLC's are in the game if you look in the tool set but were never implemented into the game but where brought back at the last minute so chances are that Shale and Warden's Keep as well as all promotional items are in there.
