Post Your Favourite Summon

My current favorite is the Dremora Lord. I've always liked the Dremora in general and they are helpful since they are generally melee oriented so keep opponents occupied. Other favorites include Daedroth (especially before I could summon the Dremora Lord) and Clannfear. Clannfear are especially fast which can often be helpful to get them to catch a fast opponent.

i altered the game a bit and gave my hobgoblin a summon bear spell that i love to cast.

p.s. i changed the bear so that he i proportionate to a real life grizzly o.k. maybe i was a little carried 1.8 he's like a oversized polar bear.

hello all,

i love the faded wraith, for it is also the enemy i fear most to fight (as a pure magic character). since i reached level 75 i use only the faded wraith in conjunction with a "100% frost/fire-weaknes" spell i created myself. beats every enemy. yesterday i finally reached level 100 in conjuration and again i find the gloom wraith the most useful of all the master-level summon spells.

though im not quite sure if the gloom wraith is really the better spell, for it does not only need almost double the amount of magicka in comparison to the faded wraith, it also has only a duration of 25sec (40sec for the faded). and, i do not really see that it is stronger than the faded. i usually have to cast it two times to beat a deadra, where it sufficed to cast the faded wraith only once. on the other hand, i was on a quite lower level when i used the faded wraith, so it has to prove now that it is still working on my higher level (and thus the enemy's higher level).

as for the lich an xivilai, i found them not aggressiv enough. sometimes they are just standing there waiting for the enemy to attack - which then prefers to go after me instead of busying himself with my summoned creature. i dont know why, but the ghosts seem to be the only one working for me (or my style of fighting ;)).

what is really a pitty in oblivion, is that you can only have one summoned creature at a time. it would be much more fun to be able to create an army of creatures, like for example it was possible in gothic. that way people would maybe use more different conjuration spells.
