Paulky45
Hey, just started up Fallout 3 again with a few mods and after a lot of tinkering and following various guides and fellow players' mod lists, I have it running pretty well and stable. I'm coming across a few exclamation marks in game though (which from playing Oblivion I assume means either a missing texture or mesh) and I can't seem to crack down on what's causing the problem. Here's an example:http://insertthepotatohere.files.wordpress.com/2010/02/screenshot1.jpg And here's my mod list:______Fallout3.esmAnchorage.esmThePitt.esmBrokenSteel.esmPointLookout.esmZeta.esmUnofficial Fallout 3 Patch.esmFACE2.esmProject Beauty HD version.esmSharing and Caring Companions.esmCRAFT.esmCALIBR.esmFOOK2 - Main.esmFOOK2 - [DIK] DLC Improvement Kit.esmFOOK2 - [*censored*] World And Neighbourhood Kit.esmFO3 Wanderers Edition - Main File.esmMart's Mutant Mod.esmCRAFT - Workbench and Crafting Expansion combined.espCRAFT - WCE FOOK+FWE Patch.espRWI - Creatures and NPCs.espRWI - DLC Addon.espUnofficial Fallout 3 Patch - Operation Anchorage.espUnofficial Fallout 3 Patch - The Pitt.espUnofficial Fallout 3 Patch - Broken Steel.espUnofficial Fallout 3 Patch - Point Lookout.espUnofficial Fallout 3 Patch - Mothership Zeta.espCRAFT - Activation Perk.espDarNifiedUIF3.espFOOK2 - Main.espFOOK2 - [DIK] DLC Improvement Kit.espFOOK2 - Mothership Zeta.espFO3 Wanderers Edition - Main File.espFWE - Weightless Ammo.espFO3 Wanderers Edition - Optional Sneak Msgs.espFO3 Wanderers Edition - DLC Anchorage.espFO3 Wanderers Edition - DLC The Pitt.espFO3 Wanderers Edition - DLC Broken Steel.espFO3 Wanderers Edition - DLC Point Lookout.espFO3 Wanderers Edition - DLC Mothership Zeta.espFO3 Wanderers Edition - Lvl 30 Balance.espTailor Maid.espTailor Maid Black Retex.espTailor Maid Anchorage.espTailor Maid Brokensteel.espTailor Maid PITT.espTailor Maid ZETA.espEVE.espEVE Operation Anchorage.espUWWUT.espUWWUT - The Pitt Addon.espUWWUT - Broken Steel Addon.espCALIBR Ammo Schematics - CRAFT.espUPP - Quest Perks.espUPP - Pack 1.espUPP - Pack 2.espUPP - Experience Perks.espUPP - Original Perks.espUPP - Beverage Perks.espUndergroundHideout.espMTC Wasteland Travellers.espMart's Mutant Mod.espMart's Mutant Mod - DLC Anchorage.espMart's Mutant Mod - DLC The Pitt.espMart's Mutant Mod - DLC Broken Steel.espMart's Mutant Mod - DLC Point Lookout.espMart's Mutant Mod - DLC Zeta.espMart's Mutant Mod - FOOK2.espMart's Mutant Mod - FWE Master Release.espMart's Mutant Mod - Hunting & Looting.espMart's Mutant Mod - Tougher Traders.espMart's Mutant Mod - Natural Selection.espSCC - Talk to Anyone.espFO3 Wanderers Edition - FOOK Support.espFWE - FOOK DLC Support.espFOOK+FWE+PB+MMM.espFOOK+FWE+EVE+UWWUT.espFWE-FOOK bullets projectiles.espRWI+PB.espRWI-DLC+PB.espmutantradio.espJessiCompanion.espExistence2.0.espStealthboy Recon Armor - CRAFT.espPKMerg_New.esp Total active plugins: 84Total plugins: 150________ My assumption is that it's some sort of problem with a hair texture which Project Beauty (or FACE maybe?) may of added. I've come across something similar during the birth scene at the start and during character generation when choosing your hair (there's a few new ones that do work, the old ones work, but I get that red glow from a lot of them). I've tried turning off these mods, doubling checking I copied over the textures/meshes etc, but no luck. Any ideas?
gsmanners
Make sure you have downloaded everything you need for those mods, too. Read through the descriptions and make sure that you have all the necessary prerequisites. What's missing is most likely a mesh for an armor or a weapon or both. Alastair91
There's a way to check if it's item related or not, since you have SCC installed, make her your NPC then check her items. Remove them one by one to see which is causing the problem. If you suspect it's a hair or skin problem, disable them in your mod list to confirm if they're the cause for the problem. What are the other exclamation marks? Only on NPC's?
