revolucion09
Hi, I am looking to make my mod to change a line from the oblivion.ini through the .esp file without modifying the configuration file it self. I've looked in the forums and google but nothing, any help appreciated. Thank you!
Vagrant0
Nope, no possible way as all changes to the .ini change the .ini. While this can be occasionally dealt with using OBSE functions, the usage and chance of problems resulting from it depend very heavily on what sorts of changes you were wanting to make. In nearly every instance, you are usually best off looking for a different way to achieve the same effect.
revolucion09
Actually I just found it was possible through an OMOD script, is this right? EDIT: Excellent!! Omod script worked like a tuned car ^^. Adds an optional modification to oblivion.ini.
Vagrant0
Actually I just found it was possible through an OMOD script, is this right? EDIT: Excellent!! Omod script worked like a tuned car ^^. Adds an optional modification to oblivion.ini.Yes, but keep in mind that it still changes the .ini, so can still cause the same sorts of issues. Depending on what you're changing in the .ini, you can be potentially creating a great number of problems and leaving something which the user may not know how to revert. LHammonds
But the nice thing about OBMM Script is that if you uninstall the OMOD, the changes to the INI are reverted back to the way it was before it was enabled. ;) Example: Menu Video Loop Replacement LHammonds
