[WIP] Abyss Demons - Illidan's legacy

Drake the Dragon (guardian01), the original author of the animation used in the Dragorian race mod, sent me his work file. It works but there's still a lot of clipping in the "hand" part of the wings. Actually, I like the shape of the wings shown in the video. I don't like the shape of the adapted wings; but Drake's animation. So I made following decisions:

1. I use the wings shown in the video

2. and try to animate them in the style of Drake's animation or make Drake's animation compatible with my unadapted wings

3. If I fail to animate, I will use the animation shown in the video

I was able to merge Drake's flying animation with the flying animation of the Chingari Demon Race mod in order to create my custom flying animation. Here's the video showing this animation :smile:

This mod is GREAT!!!!!!

I really like the way they fly and the overall look of the race, but I have some critics/suggestions. I put them in a box so it up to you to see them or not:

1.: in the wing animation loop you should check the last(¿?) frames, since the anim seems a little abrupt there.

2.: Here I'm assuming you can make another flying anim, for use as an idle when they are just floating (even a flying backwards but that's too much I think)

3.: If the canon matters. Even Illidan is now a demon, the females of the race will still look as a dark/night elf. so I think the look of the girls *should* be WAY different but.... hell is up to you.

well those was my critics / suggestions.

JAJAJAJA hear me giving critics.... Know what, selene? don't listen to me... sometimes I go too over the top jajajajajaja.

I wish you the best of luck, keep doing the great job you are doing and you have my dload and my vote for MOTM when you release :thumbsup:

CorrodedSoul, over.

First playable alpha version released!

From now on you can test the alpha version :)

Download it here: http://tesnexus.com/...le.php?id=31549

What you need:

OBSE (Oblivion Script Extender) -> if you want to fly,

Robert's Male Body V4 or V5,

Custom Race Fix or Unofficial Oblivion Patch

And how does flying work?:

Just use the following key commands:

start flying = ,

stop flying = .

forward = W

backward = S

left = A

right = D

flying faster = Page up

flying slower = Page down

At the moment the race is male only and has 1 hair and 1 eye option (more are coming in future versions).

I highly recommend a clothing and armor replacer for Robert's Male Body, so that the body texture will be displaced correctly:

Known issues/bugs:

Sometimes you have to press the flight button (,) a few times in order to start the animation, there is no way I can fix this as of yet.

Strangely, I have black wings in the starting prison/dungeon when I have HDR or no screen effect activated; in other interiors and in the exteriors they look normal. I haven't this problem when Bloom is activated. It could be down to my video card (ATI) but I'm not sure.

It's possible that the wings got oddly deformed after reloading a savegame. If this happens, exit Oblivion and start it again.

Second alpha is online!

Fixed initializing of flying animation. If your character gets stuck in jumploop, a second script forces him to play the flying animation after a delay of a few seconds.

Here's the download link: http://tesnexus.com/...le.php?id=31549

Important:

Updating from previous version:

You must do the following in order that the changes have effect:

- open the console and type startquest cbADremoveFlightPower and confirm with return or enter

- wait a few seconds and check if the flight ability is removed from your character's spell effect list

- open the console again and type startquest cbADaddFlightPower

This removes and adds the spell again, so the flight mode will be resetted.
