Guards always chasing me

Hi everyone I've been having this strange problem where guards from all cities chase me, when they get to me they say that I have broken the law (also i have a bounty of 5) so I pick pay fines. Then the another guards sees me and does the same (still have bounty of 5) so I tried the go to jail option this time. After I leave jail the guards that were around me when I was arrested are there and all of them except the one who caught me last chase me again and try to arrest me, no matter what I pick this problem continues to occur. Also the guards take me to strange places to pay fines or go to jail for example an Imperial city guard might arrest me but I'll come out of jail in Bravil where every guard will try to arrest me. I was wondering if anyone else has ever had this problem before. :thanks: in advance to anyone who might be able to help me out.

First thing that I know will be suggested is to post your load order and/or mention if you have any guard mods. Beyond that, if you're on the PC version of Oblivion (which you'd have to be for mods obviously) then try opening the console (~) and click on your own character, then type in "payfine" or "player.setcrimegold 0"

This is probably something to do with Reneer's Guard Overhaul, maybe a conflict between that and No psychic guards though i´m not sure. Try and play around with the configuration of Reneer's Guard Overhaul and see if it solves the problem. If not you might want to get TES4edit ( http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=11536 ) to help you figure out if there really are any conflicts between RGO and NPG. Also i think you´re supposed to use only 1 esp files for No psychic guards, either the normal or the harder one but not both, you should probably check the readme and see if it mentions that.

Your load order shows both No psychic guards v1.2.esp and No psychic guards harder v1.2.esp

I believe you should use either one or the other.

And RGO and no psychic guards do conflict.

One or the other again I'm afraid or you'll likely keep seeing wierdness from your guards.

 

Fortunately, RGO can do exactly what NPG does anyways, and more. Unfortunately, with a lot of mods or high demand mods (if you plan on installing more) the 2.x editions of RGO (the newest) are known to kill the games combat AI... so its a juggling act. You can either decide to run both and see what the issues are, or pick one or the depending on your own choices.

Thanks for the help guys I went ahead and deleted both of the NPGs and now my oblivion is working fine.
