Guest UncappedBasher
I tried some texture dumping and overriding for dark souls 2. I overrid about 11 files and it seemed to be working like a charm. After showing my friends they wanted to try it out as well. But for whatever reason the texture overriding is not working for them. I have made sure that their configurations are correct and they are doing everything right. I handed over some of my textures so that they could test them. After trying my textures only two of them worked. But the rest (about 9 of them) failed to change. Essentially my process for making the override files was this. Enabled Dumping and texture overriding->Loaded up dark souls and equipped items i wanted to edit->Found textures I wanted->Opened .tga's in photoshop -> Made my changes -> Saved psd as a png -> Moved png into my override folder. Is there any reason why files made this way would work for one person but not another? And why would two out of the 11 textures work if there was virtually no difference between them or way they were created?
Guest UncappedBasher
Literally just solved the issue. The problem was that they didn't have their texture option in game set to High, which is a necessity. Strange that this isnt a more highlighted requirement since it is extremely important. Oh well, maybe this post will help the next person in this predicament.
