Strange Occurences

Ok, so first of all, some info on this account. This will be the only topic I use it on as I already have another one. I created it simply because I do not wish any of you to judge my other account based on this. Now, for this post, I want your opinions and other things that have happened to you that do not quite make sense.

 

Now that that's out of the way, here we go.

 

So, there is something strange about the way my life works out. The only possible way I can try to explain this is through one of the two specific examples I can come up with. And by the way, it is a pretty stupid example. I was on another site once receiving help from another member and I noticed his signature was "There's a bear in my oatmeal!" That didn't mean anything to me at the time, until a few days later I saw an episode of Family Guy with the exact same line. Think it was a coincidence? I have another example. I was looking at a mod for Crysis titled the Crysis of Cthulhu and at the time thought it was an original idea, when just today I saw a post here talking about Cthulhu, which prompted me to google it. Over the next few hours I saw the words Cthulhu, Yog Sothoth, and Lovecraft thrown around. Those are all the specific examples I can think of, but this has happened many times when I learn the definition of a word, and the word pops up a few times over the next couple days.

 

That's all I have to say. Report me or call me crazy if you must, or more preferably post your own stories that don't really make sense.

To be exact Cthulhu is created by Howard Phillips Lovecraft (who is great horror writer) for those who do not know.

 

To the topic: Those are no coincidences as internet is so imaginative place that users use phrases or words from TV shows, games, books and so on and so on. The reason for that is usually because it A) is humorous/funny B) sounds cool. Simple as that.

It happends becouse you did not pay any attention to those words until them. After you knew about them, when you saw them you remembered. It's a strange thing with the way mind is procesing the information it recieves. Mayby you have seen the words before but you completly ignored them and forgot all about them. :)

Should pick up a very foreign language some time, like Japanese, Korean, or Chinese... Once you get to the point where you can read some of it, you'll constantly be seeing them being used in shows and such. The scary part is when you see it in older movies that you have seen before and just dismissed as jibberish or something that was made up to fill the space because back in those days nobody cared about linguistic accuracy... Then there's Fallout 3.
