I admit that I am a pirate and I am not ashamed by that but what Balagor said is true for the worst of us, of the pirates. Actually most of the pirates (like me for example) download games so we can test their full potential without any limits which demo places and if we like it we buy it. If not we'll just delete it. Simple. Reason why we buy them? That is simple to answer. We wish to support the game makers so they can make more awesome games and same goes to the music too. Most of the pirates I know think like wise as I. We are not bad people actually only the minority is who gives us in whole bad name. About DRM I have given out my answer already. Time to walk the plank for you. Goodbye. AS
  2. Well I knew only few of them (from first 10) actually or I did not know about what you were asking as I am not native English. So I for example had no idea what was Aurora Borealis which is Revontuli in my native language until I looked into it. I actually found your answer to fifth question lacking as it has two answers. One was right but there is also another line which is actually more famous. "I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End." -The Bible Revelation 22:13
  3. That's pretty nice but nothing beats feeling of satisfaction when you succeed with pen and paper. In any case nice find.
  4. There will be a blue robot jumping around and killing evil robots who work for evil guy if there is any truth in Mega Man games... If not well technology will crash down like the market in bad year and we are back in the middle-ages.
  5. 1. Did you play KotOR 1 or 2 or did you played both of them? Both completed with good and bad ways 2. In your opinion which was better KotOR 1 or 2? If you played 1 or 2 please tell me. Personally I liked first one and the reason is simple. It had non-destroyed jedi temple (which was destroyed later thought) and it had lighter tone in the story in my opinion. 3. What would you like to change or add into KotOR 2, KotOR 1 or both of them? Nothing really as it had everything I wanted from a game about Star Wars... Well maybe more spaceships to fly with and ability to free flying in the space. 4. Did you play with or without cheats? Without of course. Only wusses use them anyway. 5. Did you use modifications? Didn't use any. Rate this/these game(s) from 1 to 10 and tell reason of your rate. I rate KotOR 1 as 9. It is very great game but bit too linear thought but everything was saved by gameplay, interesting characters and good plot. No game breaking bugs (at least none I noticed). I rate KotOR 2 as 8½. Personally I don't like that much dark plots as they are bit depressing for me but I liked how many interactions were more of grey area unlike in the first one it was clear which choice was good and which evil. Then there are few annoying bugs. Still it is really worth while game to play if you like the first one. And still too linear like the first one.
  6. Well I don't think government is spying intentionally at least in Finland. They simply don't as there is no profit doing so as our government is quite useless in overall. We are not as paranoid as U.S.A. because we can follow almost every meeting of the government so we know what they talk about. We don't have any secret police and we almost complete freedom of speech. Things are usually censored or illegal only after somebody takes them to the court or they are by human morals just wrong. Finland is good country to live in. It has high taxes but it's good country no less.
  7. It's called open minded thinking... To the topic: Well humans know next to nothing about universe as it is expanding all the time and we barely know anything beyond our galaxy, the Milky Way. It is possible and quite probable that there is life somewhere else than in the Earth as there are many galaxies humans know nothing about. To tell you the truth I think humans are still quite primitive race but our technology is evolving all the time so I wouldn't be surprised if sometime dimensional warp or such becomes possible thus we might be able cover great distances quickly someday. The history as we know it is quite inaccurate from many places and even false as historical writings (especially those written in Latin) can be easily misread and there are some things which historians do not wish to admit. I actually like Maharg67 original idea actually and to the list there is at least one more. Crash landing - Some aliens might have just trying pass by but the spaceship breaks for some reason and the crash to this planet. Then they started train humans about technology so they might someday fix the spaceship and leave.
  8. How many of you do still remember this great multi-platform adventure point & click games made by Sierra called King's Quest? It is fun series especially having many unfair deaths. You have no invisible walls stopping you from making lethal mistake or forgetting important items behind before going beyond point of no return. They can be quite hard at times especially if the solution of a puzzle is something which defies the common sense and logic. For myself I started from King's Quest V: Absence Makes the Heart Go Yonder! when I was 6 years old. Great game and had good laughs at times especially with "great" voice actors it has. None the less it is fun adventure game series which I have enjoyed through my life.
  9. It's quite fun game actually. Here's mine creature so fight it if you want.

In my opinion they have gone too far already with this. For me single-player games should be able to be played OFFLINE without needing internet. Having you to log in to some server or otherwise verify that you are ONLINE defeats the whole point of single-player games. Well not their actual point but why should a single player game need internet? I can understand if some multiplayer games will have this protection as they need internet in anyway to play but to need internet in single-player game is bit too much for me. Also games should be able to install as many times as person wants after all they paid for the game in the first place.
  11. Have you seen anyone about that? That actually sounds like OCD to me. I have friend that has OCD messes with his life big time. I can say the same, I spend 5 minutes checking if everything is correct, e.g. door is shut, I have everything I need for school. How can I stop that? Any suggestions? Well you can always try hit yourself hard when you try check that everything is correct but that is rather painful way... Well you can always try therapy or something. Random Fact about me: I was born at 12th hour of 12th day of December.
  12. Like Retribution (Page 1) said before me obviously any of you haven't played I Wanna Be The Guy otherwise you all would be saying that is the hardest darn game you have ever played. I actually managed beat it but it took a long time and many deaths.
  13. Well for the first thing I think this won't happen in while. Seriously. It is of course easy to show somewhat working prototype but to actually finish such thing without them costing +500 euros is not that easy. I can see this happening but not in near future as it's not cheap to create such thing. So if they wish to sell them on market and make profit what they have to do? That's easy one to answer make whole thing cost a lot. For those who say this is Wii motion control copying is the future of gaming? I don't believe it. The motion control is fun (I myself own Nintendo WII) as it is still different what we have used to control games. WII is fun because it's different from what we have got used to and that's it. Nothing else. One thing I do NOT wish to see myself doing while playing a game is that I actually start running around and stuff. Games are meant to be fun not exercise. I want to play RPG games for several hours without breaking a sweat.
  14. Well I have not played the games but I do know how to get them for even current operating systems as it's MS-DOS based game. There is a MS-DOS emulator called DOSBox which is legal program as far as I know as it only emulates MS-DOS. Well for the game you have to find them yourself. I hope that help you as I had same problem when I wanted play Ultima VII some time ago. ^^
  15. Meh 361 clicks on the first try... Quite easy to figure out and the boos is really easy (7 clicks needed to kill it). Hardest time I had was jumping from platform to another with that jump power meter.
  16. Chapter XXIII ~Results. Lucas and Claire arrive.~ Test is over? Did I choose wrongly? Did I fail this test? No! I should not think like that! Tristan debated in his thoughts about the result. It had been long time since Tristan had been treated well or had something of his own. The magic was in that way special to Tristan. It was something of his own not gift or act of pity from somebody else. Tristan had been prisoned in that manor as long as he remembered by powerful runes which cannot be broken by normal means. There was special requirements for person who first opened the door to the manor. Martin had given new hope to Tristan by offering his teachings and help. Tristan took deep breath and looked that the council waiting for the results. "You have been deemed by each of us as worthy to continue your studies to greater power. Do not be mistaken thought what you did and that town you went were not illusion but they exist in another realm, in another world so your actions were real. When you broke the illusion of the forest you proved that you have enough power to continue your studies. When you did not let yourself to fall complete confusion you proved that you have enough will to continue your studies. You freed a daughter of a man even thought the runes warned you not to and you kept your promise without care what would happen next thus you are good hearted person but you should examine your actions consequences in future as no action can be undone." Martin explained about what had happened and reasons why Tristan was accepted. "From your actions we have decided that you shall start study art of illusion as it seems to be closest to your personality." Martin finally said and pointed at the door. "You may now leave apprentice Tristan Locksen and later today you shall build your own staff and advance in rank if you succeed." Martin told and Tristan left the classroom. Tristan was happy. Really happy. He had finally completed the test of mages and become real mage now. Well apprentice still but still one who could study further in the art. I can't let you forget me, now can I? A woman's, Delilah's, voice said in Tristan's mind. I have question lady Delilah. Why did the council say nothing about you or your whisper for more knowledge? Tristan asked from Delilah with his thoughts. Simple really. The council did not know my existence. Delilah replied without much of care in her tone. So you weren't part of the test? Tristan thought. That's right. I can guess your next question and the reason why I came to you was because I wished to travel around the world as I had been stuck in that cave very long time. I hope we can work together well as it will help both of us and I will give you the knowledge you wish for when time is correct to reveal it. Delilah replied and sighed then her voice faded away. _____________________________________________________________ On almost other side of the city the two companions, Lucas and Claire, arrive to the Imperial City. "We have finally arrived." Lucas said with small grin. "Yeah. Finally we can sleep in good bed and eat real food. This is centre of all. If you can't find something from here you can find it nowhere." Claire said happily as the week of adventuring had been quite rough even thought they had been mostly on road. They had explored few ruins on the way for valuables as their money was quite limited as was almost anybody else who was travelling with light equipment. "I guess we can spent some of our money to entertainment as we got quite a lot with the artifacts we had found from the ruins." Lucas replied as he knew very well how much Claire wanted to buy new spells, clothes and such. "After that we head to the Arcane University, alright?" Lucas asked from Claire. "Okay okay we can." Claire said with small smile. She was now just like little kid who had found new toy. Just as excited.
  17. This is truly great game even in this age as not many games now days come as deep plot as this game has nor virtues as great. Almost everything you spoke and acted affected your alignment which is good. Really good. Only headache to me gave playing as mage those level 9 and 8 forever taking spell animations *cough*Celestial Host*cough* but otherwise playing as mage was greatest (in my opinion) out of all other classes. Only thing I could have wished more would be larger world to play in.
  18. 19. Chapter XXII ~Delilah. The Test is finally over.~ Tristan walked now with strong and fast steps as he was now slept well and was determined to find answers. He walked to the inn which he had gone last night and the innkeeper looked at Tristan. "So we meet again lad." The innkeeper said with a grin. "So what can I do for ya today?" He asked as he looked at Tristan. "Nothing as I have only find answers to questions and an inn is where most travellers gather, am I right?" Tristan said and sighed as he walked to the bar side of the inn. The bar was full of travellers of different kind many races some unknown to Tristan. Tristan walked to a bartender who was behind a counter. "Excuse me could you tell me where exactly am I?" Tristan asked from the bartender. "Of course. You are in the town of Neverwinter at Sword Coast of continent of Faerûn. You seem to lost for asking such question." Bartender said with gentle smile. Continent of Faerûn... I never heard of such place not even books I have read. Tristan thought. He was confused. Was he transported to another realm entirely? Would the Council of the Mages have such power? How would they be able to supervise this whole thing? How would Tristan get out of here? Many questions ran through Tristan's mind. He needed answers yet looking for them just caused more confusion which led to fear. Get grip of yourself! This is just a test to see how I act! Tristan commanded himself before he lost himself to fear. A middle-aged man ran to Tristan. "Excuse me mister mage but could you help me? I of course pay you for your help so can you come?" The man asked from Tristan. "What do I have to do?" Tristan asked as it would be foolish just to accept request without knowing what is needed to be done. "Simple really my daughter has been cursed by a witch so I need somebody to break the curse and you seem powerful mage so can you help me?" The man explained. He had great worry in his voice. "Alright I'll see what I can do for you but I cannot promise you anything as I am but an apprentice currently." Tristan said and sighed. "Thank you. Thank you." The man said gratefully and started to lead Tristan where her daughter was. Tristan was led to outside of the town to the forest where Tristan had been before from there to a cave. The cave was deep and went long way underground. Tristan was led to the last chamber in the cave and there was a woman bound by magic to a rock. Both chains and the rock were covered in magical runes which were to bound evil creatures. "Can you free her?" The man asked from Tristan as Tristan examined the runes. "I... Yes I can but I don't think it is wise... These runes talk something about evil but I am not sure what as I do not recognize most of the runes." Tristan explained. What should he do? That was question which now haunted Tristan's mind. He had promised to that man he would free this woman if he could but the runes spoke about something evil. Free me and I shall grant you power and knowledge about arcane arts which has been long forgotten for we shall become one. A voice spoke to Tristan's mind. A voice of a woman. Tristan shook his head. No. He should not release this woman yet the promise of power was intriguing. There was no creature who would not wish to be more powerful. Tristan closed his eyes and took deep breath. He mumbled words of arcane and slammed his hand to the rock. The rock and chains shattered like glass and became only pile of rubble and iron. The woman collapsed to ground as she was now weak. "I thank you mage for helping my daughter." The man smiled happily as he picked up the woman and started to walk away from the cave. Tristan was also starting to walk away but spirit of a woman became visible above the rubble. The woman was beautiful Imperial female around twenty years old with long pure white hair and dark blue eyes. She wore blue and golden robes of the arch-mage. "As I promised for freeing me I shall travel with you. I am not without gratefulness for freeing me from my prison. I am known as Delilah Regan but I hold still many other names which are not important to know so call my name if you wish to speak with me." The woman said with sweet smile as she walked to where Tristan was. "I know many races but I do not remember seeing one of your race any more on these realms. It seems our journey will be interesting one, young one." The woman said and walked directly inside Tristan and settled inside. Delilah was now bound to Tristan until Tristan would die. The walls started to swirl around Tristan and he started feel sick when he once again opened his eyes he was back in the classroom and before the Council of the Mages and Martin. "The test is over. Apprentice Tristan Locksen have been judged." Martin declared with great authority in his voice.
  20. I have had my current avatar as long as I have been in these forums as I never had bothered to chance it.
  21. Well some books are ancient some are not yet we still read them and learn from them or try escape from the grey reality. The reason why the books were first written was to record the past of humans so next generations can learn what it was to be in the age when it was written but ability to write is not necessary definition of a human being as the letters are just symbols which humans have agreed and used as a form of communication between each other. Variety of traits are considered important to the biological and cultural definition of human. Some researchers deem language, art, and consciousness as the most important traits, while others point to the origin of two-legged walking (bipedality) as the starting point of the human lineage. The traits unique to human beings arose at different times over a long period. Some important human characteristics are listed below; it's important to keep in mind that these characteristics are in comparison to other primates, the closest genetic relatives to our species: * Habitual bipedality * Large brain size (compared with body size) * Expanded planning and problem solving abilities * Language * Art and other forms of symbolic expression * Complex cultural learning dependent on symbolic information * Dependence on technology for survival * Varied diet, including domesticated plants and animals * Functional hairlessness * Worldwide geographic distribution and adaptation to diverse climates and habitats * Greater social complexity Yet it's not always important find the meaning when you read books for example I love fantasy genre as that way I can escape from reality to different world which the books open before my eyes. I do not wish search for meaning such books as they lose their charm when the meaning behind them has been found. The reality needs it's mysteries or this life will become boring. I read because it's fun not because I wish to discover meaning of everything I do. Like I said before not everything needs meaning after all there is factor of chance and random in this life existence of chaos which breaks order of this world. There is charm in mystery which should not be broken. This life only becomes boring if you do find reason and meaning to everything. For example I still believe in magic as it is surrounded by the veil of mystery. There is no proof that it exists nor is there any proof it doesn't exist. Credit are given to those who surround us but you should not forget that you wouldn't be here if those people who lived 2'000 or 200'000 years ago would not have been as they might be your ancestors from long ago so they deserve as much credit as anybody else. Yet I think Terra (which is Latin and means earth and in this case planet Earth) deserves most credit out of anything as without Terra we wouldn't be in here as it provides place to live and ways to survive yet we humans are foolish enough to destroy it for our own selfish reasons. All other creatures coexists with this planet. The books are the only monument which writers leave for coming generations as books reflect everything what the writer was and thus we can learn form their past. Some books are more important than others some say but I go against that statement. I believe all books are are as important as any other books if it's not written by yourself as after all books hold everything you are and have been. That is something nobody else but yourself can answer as only you know what and who you are. You might have noticed that I am quite contract to your way of thinking as I do not wish to search for my reason to exists as I know that I will not find solid answer to that thus why to waste time to think something as pointless as that. I exists because I exists be it for greater purpose which we call destiny and fate or be it for no reason I don't really care. That is reason enough for me. Don't take me wrong thought I respect that you have this kind of goal and I don't try convince you to stop this search. Just be ready for search this for your life as nether science or religion will answer to this question as this is both spiritual and philosophical question and both subjects do not have straight, clear or wrong answer.
  22. I take out the Dagger of Time: The SNOW edition from my pocket and use surrounding snow of time to rewrite the history so that instead of throwing only one ball of snow I build a snow minigun and start shooting at rebalious with speed of 1200 snowballs per minute.
  23. Why do we exist? The answer is simple as that we, humans, will not find the reason. That is one question which will not be answered until you die and might not be answered even in afterlife. What can we do? Just try live our lives through as well as we can. Are we messengers of light or children of darkness to this world? For me it's nether we are nothing special just one race among many others who try survive in this harsh planet. You can drive yourself mad by thinking things like these yet you never will find the answer.
  24. I have always liked: Wings - Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete Wind Nocturne - Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete To The Last Drop of My Blood - Valkyrie Profile Take A Flight - Valkyrie Profile to name few.
  25. http://i202.photobucket.com/albums/aa79/Eurogon/Stuff_by_others/doom-1.png I created an army of snowmen but they heard about world coming to the end at 2012 and they believed it so they became ineffective. I had no other choice but to curse myself from my stupidity about doing such foolish idea. An army of snowmen have never worked nor ever will. Maybe zombies next time? Nah. I gather a ball of snow to my hand and I throw it towards rebalious.
