Asterra
Granted, this game isn't as heavily modded as, say, Skyrim (or even DA2), but I can't seem to pin this one down. What I want is to be able to wear whatever armor I like, but to have whatever visuals I want. Meaning, for example, I could wear chainmail, but visually be wearing nothing but Natural Bodies. There's a mod which does this for helmets, thank goodness. I'd like to wear the armor this game has, but only for the stats; I would prefer to be able to choose how my character looks, from head to toes. This game sort of predates this concept, as ubiquitous as it has become in games like it. (Would also prefer not to hear armor-related noises such as the chainmail rattling, while I'm at it. ;p )

Is what you want a 'fashion' toggle, that would allow you to wear one set of armor, but replace the visuals with a fashion outfit or another set of armor? If so, I've never seen anything like that for DAO. Armour sound effects are, I believe, designated in the GDA file which contains the Item Variation information for the item, as opposed to being a global. Asterra
Excellent. It sounds like the hack you linked may be exactly what I was hoping for. I'm quite happy. :)
WolfenWarden
another option if you are wanting to wear specific outfits, is to get rid of the armor entirely. I've used The Winter Forge http://www.nexusmods.com/dragonage/mods/122/? to create accessory items that had allowed some of my NPCs to get away without wearing armor. With trial and error, I've created accessory items like rings and belts, and whatnot that when combined work together just as well as armor, doesnt give the sound effects, and generally isn't visible on the character in game. Just another option. Oops, forgot the link to TWF LOL. [/edit] Edited June 30, 2014 by WolfenWarden
