  1. MegaT- you would want to rename the file's extension. for instance if the file is thismod.rar you would want to rename it to thismod.dazip and then try to use it in DAM. You cant do this with a lot of file types, but .dazip files are basically just compressed archives, the same as .zip files, but with a different name to the extension. You can even open a .dazip file by changing the extension to .zip  [edit] also check to see if the file is being renamed to something like thismod.dazip.zip if thats the case, then just delete the .zip from the name. [/edit]
  2. Hey, sorry for taking so long to get back in on this one I'm afraid I don't have a chance to get online very often. But I am really glad to hear that you got it sorted out, thats great! LOL A good scratch is always a good thing :) Happy modding! :)
  3. It sounds like the mod is installing but the mod fails when you attempt to reach the destination on the map. If you are absolutely sure that all of the files are in the correct location prior to packing, and 100% sure that they are Extracting to the correct locations, I would make a guess that perhaps a file is corrupt when unpacking. To rectify I would repack the archive, delete the previous version on your Target machine (where you are testing the extraction), and then try again. I would really double check to make sure that all the files are extracting to the proper location, and that nothing is missing. It could also be that the mod itself doesn't have whatever it is that it needs to transport the player to the location. It could also be that there's an error in the location that they are being transported to. So basically if all the files are in the correct location After extraction, the next step would be to double/triple check your transportation method. If that checks out, then there's something wrong with the area that you're transporting To. Hope this helps, and best of luck :)
  4. Dunno if this will help or not, and I apologize in advance if I don't reply very quickly. (Afraid that I dont have internet except when I'm out and about). Make sure that you are logged into the computer on a username that has full administrator access. Make sure that your antivirus doesn't block programs. (For instance- COMODO will prevent installs from certain access) IF SO- turn off your AV while installing. First thing, delete the installation folder from your previous attempts at installing. Second, find the installation .exe file and RIGHT click it. Choose RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR If that fails, Delete the installation files, then RIGHT click the exe file and choose PROPERTIES. Then click the COMPATIBILITY tab. Put a check in the box that says " Run This Program in Compatibility Mode for: " and go ahead and use XP Then click APPLY and OK. Then right click and run as administrator again. I hope this helps, sometimes the toolset can be pretty wierd during install.
  5. Well, this IS a multi-national web board, so the time really isn't an issue, since we have people on here from every time zone that you could imagine. Pretty much all just depends on who's reading at the time, and whatnot.
  6. Hiya MoonDew, and welcome aboard. ;) My recommendation is to post (constructively) in threads that are already posted, on subjects that are of interest to you, or that you are knowledgeable of. Start making a presence for yourself that way, and people will start to recognize you. Once you've become part of the crowd, then you may start to get more interest in your threads. Hope it helps! :)
  7. Lobster!?!? Huh!! Well, it matches up with my birth date, and the description had a lot of hits to truth. However, I refuse to believe that I am born a SHELLFISH! LOL  @Ben- Great find BE! Thanks for sharing!
  8. afraid this is in the wrong section, my friend. If it's about the site, it needs to be in the tech support boards for the nexus, not for DA. I've asked the mods to move it to the right section of the boards for you ;)
  9. yeah, make sure that it has your installation path correct. If you have a STEAM download, the path is different, I do believe. Also, if you chose to try to edit the xml file manually, you will need to open the file with a word processing program like notepad, wordpad, word, etc. For these kinds of editing I prefer notepad++ (a freeware that you can find with a net search) due to the fact that it breaks the lines up with different colors, making it easier to navigate since you're not looking a big block of black and white.
  10. Also- is it doing this when you start the toolset, or when you try to open certain types of files? For instance, large savegame files will crash the TS. What you are trying to do might also be of help, as I know that over the recent years, other tools for modding DA have emerged. Sadly, I have been away and arent familiar with the new tools, but if you mention what you're trying to do, somebody else here on the boards would most likely know if there are other (better) tools that you can use. Good luck!
  11. short answer: depends. You havent listed the mods that you are wanting to move together, other than sapphos (which is a pretty EXTENSIVE) mod. Most likely you are not looking at something easy. More information is required tho, before a definitive answer can be given. However, be aware that if the conflicts in the mods is a common file, then that file has to be re-written in the toolset, with both mods in it's scripts. Not always an easy task.
  12. Thanks Thandal I appreciate the input :) Well, I at least posted the files that were modified, so perhaps somebody who's more familiar with the script references for DA can re-make the modifications to the scripts.
  13. There USED to be a mod called "Overwhelm Fix" filenamed "bowm" which I downloaded here at the nexus a Loooong time ago which took care of this problem. I have searched, searched, and searched again, and cannot locate the mod again tho :( the mod contains two files- monster_talent_overwhelm.nss and monster_talent_overwhelm.ncs which are a pair of scripting files. I've taken a look at the original files in the toolcrap, but I am afraid that I can't make heads nor tails of the references. I'm not sure of the current rules regarding reposting/distributing script mods that aren't here on the nexus anymore. And would like to hear back on from Thandal on that before I offer to post the updated codes.
