Bradlow
Hi. I'm running Win 7 Ultimate and my FOMM isn't recognizing FOSE. I want to run FOMM and be able to see the Launch FOSE + use the custom command so I can run both FOSE and Fake Fullscreen mod. I did everything the same as I did on XP I think, but for some reason it's just not working for me here. ... I'm sure the solution isn't too complicated but I can't freaking figure it out. or perhaps there's a practical less conventional solution? any help is appreciated thank you. FOMM + FOSE + Fake Fullscreen is what I want to do because that's how I had it setup on my XP desktop. Edited June 26, 2014 by Bradlow
M48A5
Windows 7, with the game installed in the default location (Program Files), User Access Control will not allow FOSE to run. Fose alters the Fallout3 files and the UAC does not allow .exe files to be altered. There are a few solutions to this. 1. Go to the fose_loader.exe and right click on it. Open properties and in open the compatibility tab and check Run this program as an administrator. Do the same for Fallout3.exe and Fake fullscreen. 2. Disable User Access Control - not now nor has it ever been advised to do this. You can do what you want. 3. Install Fallout 3 in a location other than Program Files. A lot of people have it installed in the "Games" folder. I have mine installed directly on the hard drive in a "Bethesda Softworks" folder. I dunno if that will bring anything to light. I'd totally disable user access control if I knew how to cuz it's annoying as s#*!. ...

Bradlow
dudes. is there not just a way to associate FOSE with Fake Fullscreen then. a .bat file that I can make. something. i'm not about to uninstall everything I just set it up, albeit wrong apparently. but christ, I don't even know for sure if this is going to help me. and what a process to do and fail. I'm sure I can make a .bat file that forces what FOMM is supposed to do. I just don't know what to google. Edited June 27, 2014 by Bradlow
