Jallis370
Has anyone managed to modify the pic-up function so the iten could be rotated while being picked up with other keys? I want to put some books in the shelves of my house, but with the limit of this ability it's really timeconsuming...
Cipscis
There's a mod called Blank's Magic Hand which allows you to move items more precisely. Cipscis
Jallis370
Great! Exactly what I needed. But it raises another question; what is FOSE..? When I search for it I only get stuff that need FOSE to work, not the actual thing I need :P
Cipscis
Where were you searching and what were you searching for? The download page is the first result for a Google search for "FOSE Fallout 3". FOSE is an acronym for Fallout Script Extender. Having it installed allows mods to make use of the extra scripting functions that it provides. You can download it from here - Fallout Script Extender (FOSE) Cipscis
Jallis370
So, in order to use the Magic Hands mod I need to start the game up with a FOSE launcher, or does it only require me to have it?Says that FOSE prevents LIVE from starting up, making achievements unupdated. Not the biggest of problems though. EDIT: Actually it seems to disable all my expansions too. That's a biggie...EDIT2: And that results in not being able to acess my current game. Dang it :P So FOSE limits the game in order to make it more open?
evilneko
FOSE apparently calls Fallout3.exe directly. Easiest way to deal with it is to get Fallout Mod Manager (FOMM) as well.
Cipscis
If you use mods, you should be using FOMM. FOMM will offer to move your DLC files into your Data folder so that they can be used without GFWL, and you can access your saves without using GFWL by moving them out of your profile folder into your main "Saves" directory.
