Hello,

I know how to add the AI to provide the NPC to go to a place to do the archery. What I CANT FIND IS how to Place or make a marker, if someone can help me that would be great. I am sure its simple but I cant seem to find the right tutorial for this simple task.

I want to make a marker to have archers use the targets as well as infantry to use Melee Dummy.

Thanks abunch!

Technically, you can use ANY object that has the "Persistant Reference" checked; you don't necessarily need an actual marker.

However, markers are type Static, and are almost all the way toward the bottom. They come in three flavors:

"Xmarker", "XmarkerHeading", and "MapMarker".

Again technically you don't need to give your marker a name, but things are a heck of a lot easier if you do. When naming persistant references, avoid starting their name with a number; always start with a letter.

Thanks, that helped alot. I added the markerheading as I wanted the Archers to go to the hay to fire, but I DONT FOLLOW you on the Persistant reference, if I dont use a marker it doesnt seem they use the item?

P.S. I have an issue that may be a bug and maybe not. When I place Kajitt or Argonians in Armor in the editor their Tails get stuck at that point and will stretch ingame? I have no idea why this happens, it doesnt happen if I place them in BWC armor. I didnt place any because of the problems, is this fixable or a bug with the editor?

You can use ANY object marked as a Persistant reference as a marker. When you double-click or edit an item in the render window, one of the check boxes at the bottom is "Persistant Reference." Check that, and now the object can be used as a reference or marker. Technically you don't have to give the item a unique name, but it makes things a lot easier if you do. When giving names to objects you plan on using as references, avoid starting the name with a number; Oblivion does not like that.

Stretching objects is not a bug in the editor, but in the object. I call this the "Bubble-Gum Effect" since parts of objects look like stretched pieces of bubble gum. I once asked on this forum what causes this, but nobody was able to give me a good answer, just "it could be this, or that or something else..."
