Alastair91
I might have found a possible solution to fix the FOMM start up problem. You need to install microsoft dotnetfx 2. Download and install this: EDIT: http://www.microsoft.com/NET/
aureolus
Uh, i think I'll go get that from microsoft's site. no offence, just doesn't look all that safe.
Alastair91
Right, none taken. I found that link from FOMM comments. EDIT: Re-posted official link above.

aureolus
I apologize for the double posty, but i DO have .net 3.5, would this matter at all?
Alastair91
I'm unsure... Are you using the latest version of FOMM? Try using the older version, see if it works. http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=640 Edit: Taken from http://www.hardforum.com Fallout 3 Installer installs a Beta release of DOTNETFX3.0 (.NET Framework 3.0). For users of .NET Framework 3.0 SP1 or even SP2 (Service Pack of the Framework not the OS), upon restarting their system (when changes take place), their game will be quite unstable. Users of .NET 3.5 or Vista should have even more random crashes. I guess you need to install older versions of .NET

mongrelarchitect
Your load order is a little messed up. Here's a quick guide: 1) All .esm's must come before .esp's 2) Fallout3.esm always comes first, followed immediately by official DLC .esm's (in the order of their release) 3) Next comes any other .esm's, and then finally the .esp's Try rearranging your load order according to these parameters, and see if you still have problems. Good luck!
aureolus
probably will, but i'll do anything that means stopping these CTDs. EDIT: yep. been stuck in the steelyard in The pitt (which on my load-list was disabled, as you can tell by the lists numbers) i crashed just after hearing the door shutting sound after the loading screen goes away.
