LE Detailed armour request

This is for any armour modders who would want a challenge.

 

 

Anglo-Saxon Inspired armour and cloak.

 

What i would like someone to do is create a visually stunning armour in the best quality then can master.

the armour as previously said will be around Saxon like armour from old English history.

 

A key theme from Saxon culture, was the intricate Celtic themed designs.

This is not to be confused with Norman or Viking themed designs.

Saxon design often included weaved and intertwined threads creating a crosshatch like graphic.

 

From the armour i would like to see detail but also the sense the armour has been worn out. What i mean is i would like to see rips and tears from battles, and also areas where stitching and threads have come separated.

Here is a very nice design which will give you a base to start your armour.

 

Obviously you don't have to follow the colour scheme, but to keep it as realistic as possible, avoid vivid and strong colours, such as Reds, Purples and Golds, as back in those times, they didn't have the dyes possible to create those colours. Try to stick towards more earthly colours, such as Green, Browns and Greys. Possibly blues.

 

Please also take into account that Celts and Saxons wore armour in layers rather than one thick layer. They hadn't developed armour and so they used a lot of leather and other thick materials. Also the use of Linen was common.

I would love to see this armour get published and to be a massive hit.

-2 Bear Pelts

-1 Wolf Pelt

-2 Leather

-5 Leather Strips

-1 Iron Ingot

Updated requirements.

 

 

Also this armour will be a heavy classed armour due to the fact there would be several layers of leather and cloth.

Also with the extension of a very heavy fur cloak.

I'd love to see this armour made. But, dyes for every single colour have existed for millenia before 0AD. What are you even on about?
