Leinfors
I'm fairly new to modding, and about the most I've done so far is primitive texture reskinning, but I have one I'd like to see if I can do through the GECK, possibly. I have one of the Bittercup appearance mods, and it gives her a really nice face, but it is much paler than her body color. How would I go about manipulating her body's appearance attributes, like flesh tone, through the GECK, without changing the face? Would this require a whole body mod, using the face? Or can this be done a bit more simply? Personally, I like the pale face color, and would rather cause the body to match the face, but if it can only be done the other way, I'd live. Thanks in advance for any input.
Quetzlsacatanango
Check this line in your fallout.ini, make sure it is set to 1 bLoadFaceGenHeadEGTFiles=
Leinfors
It is checked to 1. First time I've been through that file, but I guess thats part of the learning experience. Anyone else have any ideas? I know I'm not the only person with this problem for this mod, as its discussion page is full of similar complaints, but the maker does not respond. Is it possible the maker deliberately made it so, since Bittercup is wearing "white makeup"?
pkleiss
There are three things to recifiy mismatched face/body tones. If the bodu is correct, but the face is not, then the solution is to change the bLoadFaceGenHeadEGTFiles=1. When the face is correct but the body does not match, there are two possible solutions: 1) Click the "Can be All Races" flag on the NPC data page.2) ESMify the mod. ESPs have this bug notoriosly. By making the mod an ESM, the body will match the face.
Leinfors
Ahh, #1 fixed the problem perfectly. Thanks so much! Now my Bittercup's head doesn't look like a halloween mask.
pkleiss
Ahh. There's nothing like a beautifully matched Bittercup.

hammieD
After months of searching for a fix to the mismatched skin tone issue I come across this thread and like that it's solved. I thank you Leinfors for asking the question and pkleiss for answering it.
