Khajiit's and Argonian's Overhaul

They should make tail swipes part of killmoves. like if you have a tail you sweep they trip and when you turned back facing them you stab your sword down onto their heart. great Killmove :D

 

animation and would be a killmove mod basically.

Have you ever wondered why animals don't use their tails to attack? Because they don't have the strength to do so. A tail isn't another limb, it's an appendage used for balance. There is no way in Oblivion the tails of a Khajiit are strong enough to trip over an average sized human enemy easily. Argonians, possibly, but unlikely.

Also, both the Argonians and Khajiit already have a stringer unarmed attack then human, Khajiits is the strongest due to claws and their natural talent at unarmed fighting.

I totally agree with your tail statement. I think it should be used in combat but only for stunning slightly/tripping. Also it could be used to swim faster in water (keep the swimming animation, just add the tail moving)

Well, the way the CK is set up is that all races share animations, ie. Argonians and Khajiits can' have seperate ones. FNIS exists and can be used to add more in, but it's complex.

so you can't copy the animations for each race and then delete the over all one so you have a separate one for each race that can be modified?

 

 

No, that's not really how it works.

 

Actually you should be able to seperate animations for some races.

 

Make a copy of "character" including all sub-directories with .hkx files. And then re-direct the male/female behavior path in the race definition. FNIS would not work for this modified race any more. But if there is a serious mod making the change I would enable FNIS to do this.
