Two hand guns?

Do any of the Modders out there know if it is possible to design a mod that allows your character to use two hand guns at the same time, or if such a mod has already been done or tried. I am not a Modder myself, I am just interested in seeing if it can be done.

This has been asked more times than you can count. In short: It is possible to hold two guns, and I think there may be a mod up for that already. It is not possible to actually use two guns. The second one will always be inactive.

Would that be a limitation of the game engine or a case of animation being required for it?

In this case it would be a limitation to the game engine I suppose, because with Oblivion, I've noticed that OBSE was required to dual wield, and the 2nd wielded object does nothing fancy, even with it's scripting extended.

Yes i remember having an active weapon and the other was held off-hand much like a shield but that didnt require a script extender did it? I thought that was just an alternate shield mesh and texture.

There was more to what I was meant to say, after looking in my Oblivion mod folder, the mod that let you dual wield was called Deadly Reflex Combat Moves, and that mod required OBSE to work. It became more complex with additional mods after that. Maybe asking the author of Deadly Reflex Combat Moves if s/he would make the same thing possible in Fallout 3, or at least give permission to someone who can use the code and tweak it for Fallout 3 perhaps..

I still think the "cosmetic" option of just creating a mirror/reversed image doing the same thing as the main weapon would be the easiest method to go about it though. It seems logical in my mind.
