It's nothing to do with your game. However, it can be fixed. You need to make the companion warp to a new cell and then back to where they were shortly after their 3D loads. I did it on my Marilyn and Sanchita companions. It seems to work pretty well. It's a homer simpson sort of fix same sort of thing they did for the Double face bug in oblivion I think. I was just trying to figure out was happening in the_dissent's game but if the problem is the classic "weapon floats by arm" bug another way to temporarily "fix it" is to access the companions inventory then exit it (this resets the NPC so the weapon is either properly drawn or holstered) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

dissentuk Posted March 6, 2010 Author Share Posted March 6, 2010 so far i have been re-opening their inventory. having to constantly tell my crew how to hold a gun a bit like being a minder to a spaz, which is a liability i do not need in the wasteland. so theres no permenant fix for this problem? roquefort Posted March 6, 2010 Share Posted March 6, 2010 Yes they just go into the fist-fighting posture, with the gun stuck upside down to the right arm. This does appear to be a game bug, not a mod bug. Going in and out of inventory as Skotte says is the only way I've found to put it right. Can be tedious though, especially with multiple companions. dissentuk Posted March 6, 2010 Author Share Posted March 6, 2010 yea man. when your rockin a task force it becomes really tedious. is there no way of fixing the problem or is it just that it hasnt been undertaken? seems to me there is a misunderstanding with the wepon selection and posture releationship. would a simple scrip bassically making it so that an npc is allways set to gun holding be the thing, my knowledge of this sorts of thing is limited.
