Speech Problem?

Ok, i am having an interesting problem, i think..

 

Everytime i hear people talk, i see subtitles, right?

 

For example: I see "So and so climbed up the Tower so she could jump off the roof" or something to that effect. Even if i am standing right in front of them, i only here "she could jump off the roof". That happens with EVERY evesdropped upon conversation. It even happens sometimes if i am in a conversation.

 

And like, when they say goodbye, i get the subtitles for "You too," "Farewell", and "'bye", however, i hear nothing.

 

My question:

 

Somehow, my sound card was accepted as minimal reqs. However, it won't work, and yes, it is intergrated. Does anyone know of any updates for an Intel Sound Card driver? :P
