So, i got myself some Windows 7, re-installed Fallout 3 Game of the Year Edition. Started from the beginning. Downloaded and installed some mods. Crashed randomly, tried something, CTD at start up, re-installed. Installed the mods again but minus MMM and FOOK2, play the same character, still crashes randomly.

I also restarted with a different character but still crashes. It doesn't crash to desktop, it just freezes.

Here are my mods and the load order:

Crashes seem to be part and parcel of the Fallout 3 experience, if you can play for an hour with no crashes you can consider yourself very lucky, if it is more like every 5 mins or on saving it is likely a mod conflict or bug, I actually have windows 7 and found that updating all my drivers and the bios too had a major positive effect on the length of time I could play for, I would also recomend the "The 3GB enabler" to make your exe large address aware, so Fallout 3 has access to more ram on the 64 bit machines.

Failing that try using "Better oblivion sorting software" (BOSS) for fallout 3 to try and resolve any load order issues.

Without more info I don't really know how to help, just stuff I have tried in the past really, I'd definately definately update manually from your pc makers website all drivers and the bios though. also have got the latest Direct X versions?

Edit: try downloading these from microsoft too they may help your issue, but if not it is good to keep these as many programs require them being up to date or present if not there already.

I have the same issue, the only dlc I don't have is the pitt, and I have FWE and WMK. Does your audio continue playing after it freezes? If so, we have the same problem. I think its something to do with FWE & the DLC.
