KiCHo666
Hello!I don't know why on Earth whould this happen ONLY when playing New Vegas, but it does happen.Randomly during gameplay, my laptop screen would completely shut off and it requires from me to force turn off laptop by holding down a power button. It doesn't matter what happens on the screen, it just happens. And please don't tell me it's because of a laptop. Game looks very dated, I don't have any hi res textures or any ENB, so it can't be graphic card (btw, it has the newest drivers).I played Metro 2033, Crysis and other much more graphic intensive games without any problems, but it only happens in New Vegas. Help! :(
bben46
Possibly overheating? FONV is a resource hog and very CPU & GPU intensive.Check your fans, clean the crud that collects out ( blow low pressure air back through the air exhaust ports. ( high pressure can damage things)Some laptops have a panel that you can remove to get at the fan easily - most don'tIf you decide to poke something in there to clean out the dirt, be sure to unplug and remove the battery first . Then I recommend the long pipe cleaners you can get at a hobby shop as they will do a fairly good job of cleaning out between the vanes of a heat sink. If the air channels are clean, try using a spacer or one of the laptop cooler platforms - the worst place to use a laptop is laying on something like a blanket that blocks the air. KiCHo666
No, it's not the heating, believe me. Not even once has my laptop had any problems with heat. And, since it's summer, I took off the panel and have a fan that's blowing on it, so it's super cool. Besides, I clean it regulary and thermal paste was changed recently.Checked with SpeedFan and everything is ok.It must be something else.
