Rhydderch Hael
that quest is why now i dont do as many miscelanous quest.it was lame.Getting over 1000 gold from the crazy-man isn't quite lame for a low-level character. You are doing it early in the game, are you not? It loses its 'oomph' for a high level character, but a newbie trying to scrape as much coin together in order to buy a house or whatnot will appreciate the windfall you can attain. It's even better when if you're a thief with a fence, because you can get Glarthir to take out Toutius and thus give you free hand to loot out his house (which is jam-packed with silver flatware). Povuholo
There's another possible ending to the quest. Once you recieve the List of Death, show it off to the intended victims. When I showed Bernadette the note, she was horrified and begged me to tell a guard. When I showed it to one of the Surille brothers, he said that Glathir had gone too far— then he and the other Surille ran off to kill Glarthir themselves! Rather than risk getting the Surille brothers in trouble for assaulting Glarthir, I then promptly turned the note over to a guard, which seemed to put every guard in town on alert, because the gate sentries closest to Glarthir at that moment despatched the wacky Bosmer before the Surille brothers could get to him. This ruined my chance at showing the note to Toutius Sextius. It would have been interesting to gauge his reaction to the note: would he have attacked, or soiled his pants? I will not soon know. I told glarthir I wouldn't kill David. So he went after him himself. I told the guard. I cheated glarthir's health up to a few thousands. Glarthir kills 2 guards on his way (I was helping him with bow and arrow) before he got into the surille brothers house. He walks upstairs, keeps talking to himself about the blades, the mythic dawn and more but doesn't get into David's room because the door was locked. He is really useless... So I unlocked two doors for him so he could reach david, who was sleeping. He enters the room, slashes david once with his axe. I bring down glathir's health back to normal and shoot him in the back, dead. He was so close ;D Instead of thanking me (not that I expected that), David demanded privacy. So I left the house. It was a great day for my assassin...
Rhydderch Hael
In my latest incarnation, I told Glarthir that Bernadette and Davide Surille were innocent, but Toutius Sextius was spying on him. The List of Death bore but one name, and when I told Galrthir I refused to kill Toutius, the Bosmer went off to do the deed himself. That's not the funny part. First time in, I followed Glarthir into Toutius' home. Toutius, unarmed and taken by surprise, was still able to beat down and kill an axe-wielding Glarthir! A bit— anticlimactic (and inconvenient for me) so I reloaded the game a waited outside of the murder house instead. Eventually the guards' conversation piece changed to "Glarthir's gone crazy and started killing people!" bit, so I went into the house to find an even odder sight than before... ...Glarthir was still alive and in the bedroom where he slew Toutius. Captain Dion was in the hallway just outside of the room, blocked by the closed door. I tried opening the door— it slammed shut faster than I could open it. I realized what was going on: every time Dion tried opening the door to slay Galrthir, ol' Glarthir was there to close to door again! Sort of a "I'm coming in!"——"No. you're not!" slapstick gag which I ended by opening the door and barrelling in so as to give Dion a clear run into the room.
