unknownhero2827
Me again. Will, say, 100 unused NPC Base IDs (not spawned in the world) cause lag or cause longer loading time? I have to imagine it could only cause longer load times on startup. But how much do you think? Anything noticable? What about 200, or even 300? Legotrash
I don't think so but I'm simply guessing here. The only way is to try it out I'm afraid (or not,if you'll decide that it doesn't worth the trouble).
Deleted3619564User
The resources are loaded when needed. There is no difference on the performance if you have 100 non-used base objects. Oblivion loads the formid on start up and places them into memory arrays but for 100-200 objects the difference for the loading time is ridicolous. Same thing when the game engine searches an object in the collection. Probably you can have a little difference if the objects are 1000-2000.
