Lainensis Posted July 7, 2014 Share Posted July 7, 2014 Today while playing some Skyrim I needed to check on something outside the game so i alt+tab'd out. Shortly after pressing the command my computer tripped up and I was met with a big ol' BSOD. So after booting up again I went straight to my SKSE launcher and was met with an infinite loading screen. I decided to enable elogging and trace in the Skyrim.ini file and booted it up once more, same result. Before checking the log file I assumed it was a problem with SKSE so I did a reinstall and booted it up again. However another problem occured when I clicked the SKSE shortcut. SKSE wouldnt launch and the game launched itself through the steam loader. I decided to follow through with loading my save and to my suprise within five seconds after selecting continue my game loaded up again with no problems. Except the fact that most of my mods are not active due to SKSE no longer present. Turns out the only way to truly boot up SKSE now is to run it as admin. Unfortunately when i do run SKSE as admin my save file is back into an infinite loading loop. Does anyone have any advice to fix this? Let me know if you guys need any additional info. Just tried lauching SKSE through the loader located in Steam\SteamApps\common\Skse_loader.exeThe game actually loaded but SKSE still didnt activate so it was no different than launching it through steam. Nazgren Posted July 7, 2014 Share Posted July 7, 2014 (edited) Try running it with no mods, then adding a few each time until the game fails to load. you might find that for whatever reason your mods have been tweaked slightly or one has become corrupted due to the crash. This same thing happened to me and i found that one of my old incompatible mods that i never got round to deleting had activated itself randomly following a crash that broke my skse. its a long shot but it might help Edited July 7, 2014 by Nazgren Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Regnier15 Posted July 14, 2014 Share Posted July 14, 2014 (edited) Laineses Did you figure anything out? i'm having this exact same issue. ~ I Resolved this Issue now, I Searched online and found a post about someone with a similar issue. It spoke of deleting StorageUtil.save in the SKSE\plugins Folder, I tried it and it Worked! If anyone is experiencing this issue Try it and see if it works for you.
