So do you get lots of yellow diamonds with black exclamation points which indicate missing meshes? Do you get items that are all purple or some other color because they have no texture? What happens when you go somewhere where one of the new items from a mod is?

You might have some severe mod conflicts going on if all your mods mod the same thing. You might want to post your mod list and load order.

I suppose there could also be an issue with archive invalidation.

Usually I see this when you have either Vista or Win7 and you made the mistake of installing the game where Beth said to which works fine until you try to install mods.

DO NOT install in the default location. the 'program files' is protected by UAC which assumes you will never make any changes to your program. Vista/Win7 doesn't bother to tell you that it will not allow mods, it just doesn't bother to let them in.

Make a new folder named C:\Games\Oblivion and install the game to that.

You can disable the UAC, but that juts opens your computer to the first virus that comes along.

Next problem - you installed a bunch of mods without testing - Good luck getting things to work.

I'm also running it on windows 7 (x64), and of course in the default program files(x64) location.

Almost all of my mods install perfectly fine, except for the keychain mod. I don't know why but it just doesn't show up in my inventory.

uninstall completely

then reinstall to someplace other than the default location.

and what version of keychain are you using?

V5 is "located" as your first key.
