Need an opinion on my mod list and possible crash problem.

Ok I wanted an opinion on my mod list to make sure I did everything ok. I recently got back into Fallout 3

and am trying some new mods, problem is, getting these things to work was taking, but I'm not new

to modding so I had experience under my belt and got them all working. However after playing some game

play, I've noticed that it crashes when playing, and not long either.

My first crash came when I tried to enter Megaton. I ended up console commanding my way in

via coc Megatoncommonhouse, after speaking with the sheriff the crashing was solved.

But now, every time I travel a good distance, the game may or may not crash. I didn't see this

as something to post on the technical support since it may be normal, but I thought the patch would fix

the crashing.

Can someone offer an idea as to what may be causing the crashing? or is it normal to crash. and not load terrain

when traveling? (takes a bit to render terrain at times.)

are any of the mods in the list causing this crash? I'd like to keep these mods but if I can tackle

whats causing the lag in terrain and crashes- maybe I can fix it.

bump?

Can anyone please verify the compatibility, or problems that could occur having these mods installed?

is it normal for Fallout 3 to continue crashing EVEN WITH the fallout 3 updated patch?

what tools do you have to use? what are you familar with?

if you have the latest tools set, I can show you just exacly what to look for.

the loadout you have is very basic, the terms in which you staate the CTD's occur ? arehese random loctions? or are these ina specific loction. it does matter.

If we lay out the locations first, then we know where to look and see what is touching what.

spec's for your set up are important too. hardware, drivers, verions, OS type location of install?

then you will get some help.

the reason no one says anything is because Fallout 3 is THE buggiest game going, and CTD's are common place, all by it's self even before mods are even add on.

so, this is a guide.

Well I used Nexus mod manager to install all these mods. I'm familar with the GECK, Boss, LOOT, and FOMM if thats what you mean by "what tools are you used to?"

The CTD seems to be happening outside vault 101 nearby megaton. If I travel by sprinting, the area LOD doesn't load up properly

and eventually It'll crash. After I re-load again, I see a few monsters that FAILED to spawn so I guessed that THAT, coupled with

the lack of LOD generating causes the CTD.

I've been told that i have an amazing Graphics card, but a poor processor.

here are my specs.

Operating System
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit SP1
CPU
AMD Sempron 140 39 °C
Sargas 45nm Technology
RAM
4.00GB Dual-Channel DDR2 @ 401MHz (5-5-5-18)
Motherboard
PEGATRON CORPORATION NARRA5 (Socket AM2 ) 40 °C
Graphics
iL272DPB (1920x1080@60Hz)
1024MB ATI AMD Radeon HD 6700 Series (XFX Pine Group) 53 °C
Storage
931GB Western Digital WDC WD10 EARS-00Y5B1 SCSI Disk Device (SATA) 41 °C
Optical Drives
hp DVD-RAM GH40L SCSI CdRom Device
Audio
Realtek High Definition Audio

Fallout 3 being the buggiest, I whole heatedly agree. It can CTD just for shooting at the sky.

1rst, lets drop this down a bit (iL272DPB (1920x1080@60Hz)) and with this, I need to know what the main game load menu setting are set at?

with this info, I can tell what and where to look next.

I need a desktop display screen shot of that video cards software setting application open , there is most of the time an icon in the systems tray for graphics cards so right click on the desktop and selet view icons---to off, so I don't see all the clutter in the back ground.

I have a photographic memory and I get too much input per person and for get who is who do to so many pictures, every one uses windows and it becomes a blur. I have 15 people online at the moment on several websites I am try to help--this helps me help you. ok?

Graphics in this game is very tight, very limited but can be augmented way above average if I have the correct information in front of me.

Ok, I'm trying to understand what it is you exactly want. I got a little confused, do you want my Fallout 3's settings? its set to ultra

and most everything else besides mouse sensitivity is default. Mouse sensitivity is 4 bars higher then it was on default and my pip

boy radio is max.

Also you asked for my desktop without icons? here is my desktop.

Note: I do not have alienware, I got a special skin design for my windows 7

computer.

Ok, you have A (ATI) graphics card built in Hybrid CPU/GPU unit <---maybe?

Ok I wanted an opinion on my mod list to make sure I did everything ok. I recently got back into Fallout 3

you can download and use the fomm found here : http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/54991/?

that , once installed can verified working, is only needed for hardware detection of your chip set there. "FOMM-54991-0-14-10-8"

http://s26.postimg.org/5dla5vqmh/fomm_108.jpg

this has the ability to give you a heads up as to whether or not the games grids are detected correctly.

http://s26.postimg.org/tilznlax5/Fomm_108a.jpg

Why it matters is because some cards may advertise they can do something when in fact, they can not, Aleinware is one such device, second, even if you had a $3,000.00 dollar / pound machine, this game will not operate or sustain the high reselection wee want with out our intervention to program the machine to do what we want.

in this shot you see what it looks like fora standard install of the game, most of the time, that greyed out box is empty as in it can not even detect the card at all. but here, this application. .net software is at fault and the fact I have this application loading in a sand box in order to mask it's ability to see my hard ware so I can show you what to look for. To find a bug, we must know how to recreate that bug. to fix the bug, we also must know how to create the bug.

This has a diferent access point for the game and hardware parts and display driver parts. it WILL override the games launcher and windows system settings. But, the games Engine will always set the game to use 800x600 basic load on full screen mode. IF the last box is maxed out to the highest setting ? the your hardware can not handle it if iit crashing or flickering . reduce the settings to this level. FPS will increase when you do this. as you can see here ,AA is also Enabled where the ATI application has it set to off, this program overrides the systems hardware / software. the ATI application on the system tray is the flower item ,it has settings for that PC for you to test things with.

a word of caution. Don't test fate too much. start small and work your way up. when you change any of this, it will feasibly effect the saved games ability to even load at all. This is the most problematic issue with any Bethesda games software. it is always going to cause the game to crash if it can not be made to coOperate with the games requirements. The window ,when the game first launches, you see two window boxes open, 1 smaller one inside a larger one and then you see a 800x600 scaled main screen menu. If the setting here in Fomm are set too high? then the command prompt / ( ~ ) will be off the screens edge. the Hrz frequency for fallout 3 resolution is 64 hrz, best display aperture is 60hrz. that is seen the the desktop display propertied for the monitors detected capabilities and is not found in this software here. If that is set to sat 85 or 75 hrz? then no, the game will crash incessantly.

The above is only a sample so we can understand what to look for.

  1. reduce the graphics settings 1 stage at a time and test games stability.
