evilneko
There are several night vision mods. Not exactly thermal/infrared, but light amplification. Infrared would be a neat trick indeed, probably impossible with the game engine.
dissentuk
it apears to be thermal for organic and electromagnetic for robots ect..... because i cant get darn UI to work i cant use it.
pkleiss
I am currently trying to get shader effects to play on random references but have run into some scripting problems. If I can work them out, I will have a way to create thermal gogles and the like. I think its possible at this point, but I'm not 100% sure. And my version would not require DarnUI, just FOSE. pkleiss
Here are some pic of what I have so far. As you can see, my artistic talents leave a bit to be desired. I did get the scripting to work though. Now if someone would offer to make the Effect Shader and the Image Space Modifier, it would be ready to go. Anyway, here are the pics: Normal Mole RatMole Rat with IR Effects ShaderMole Rat with Shader at a DistnaceNormal at a DistanceDistant with Shader and ISM As you can see I tried to get a sort of green night vision look with the ISM, but it also had the side effect of making the IR shader sort of pinkish orange. Such is my graphic talent.
dissentuk
imo, the last one looks best. a pair of goggles that could be hotkeyed with that function would be the greatest mod. i really hope you get this working!!! good luck
pkleiss
The last pic is how it really looks when wearing the IR Helmet. Its just that the effect that makes the suroundings green has the side effect of making red enemies pinkish orange. What I really want is to have the enemies color be that of what you see in pics 2 & 3 with the backgound being greenish. It is a painstaking process becasue I can't see how it will look when making changes until I go into the game. Basically I have to guess which color to make the shader (the enemies color) such that when the Imaeg spage (the green) is applied, the ememies look more red. Does anyone know what color you need to add green to to get red?
