zharriott2
Hey all! Like many of you, i'm sure you have finished at least two or maybe three complete playthroughs of the game and as a result have seen the same dungeons and landscapes. It really got me thinking about how much different the game would feel if some of the non-story or quest related dungeons and other vanilla locations had their name changed to something else. For example, maybe Evergreen Grotto could be Frostfin Cavern. Chillwind Depths could be Darkfall Trench. The list goes on and on, but the main idea is to change dungeons that aren't in any way key to the game side-quests or story. I also really like the idea of adding very small settlements to various areas of the game. I'm talking a house here and there, far out in the woods, inhabited by maybe a family of five or a single outlander with a story. It would give us just a little bit more to explore and look at while traveling from place to place. Thoughts on these ideas? Anyone agree with me on this? If so lets get this started
DrNewcenstein
Can't see how changing names will change anything...other than names. Play the game 3 times and you know it better than your own neighborhood, simply by the landmarks. Doesn't matter if you change Soljund's Sinkhole to Bjorknar's Barrow - it's still Soljund's Sinkhole. It's in the same place, with the same guy out front, and the same interior. It's like changing the name of chocolate ice cream to raspberry ice cream. There's plenty of room to add locations, including caves, ruins, crypts, and settlements. No one seems to be doing much outside the cities, except for player homes. Silent Moons Camp is begging to be expanded. For as large as the outside is, the inside is incredibly small. Other Nordic Ruins with a smaller outside have much larger interiors. Plus it's high on a hill, which leaves room for something the size of Saarthal or Labyrinthian to be "discovered".
notmyhome
Requiem doesn't touch the name, but changes the layout of some dungeons - really cool.

notmyhome
puh, haven't visited all of them, so I can't give a full account :DWhat comes to mind is the Corvangr lair or whatever it's called; the combined spider and vampire cave (anyone who's played Requiem will cringe at the thought). Can't tell you the exact location, but there's a dead mammoth on the outside. One or two others I've noticed, but cannot remember the name of.
