Mesh/Texture Missing?

I'm using Super High Rez Skin Texture for HGEC by Ozmo and I'm sure it includes lower part.

When I installed it, this happens ;

I also use the underwear version from the normal HGEC texture. The underwear texture works fine but when I remove underwearlower.dds or underwearlower_n.dss, the mesh/texture is ..kinda missing.

Any help here? I've tried removing all the underwear file and overwrite the skin texture but it still looks missing.

Yeah... don't remove files that mods depend on. ;)

If you want to use the nude versions of HGEC, download it, then get some underwear packs. There's even a breakable one kicking around somewhere now.

If your original version of HGEC wasn't nude, your Hi-Rez version will either be underwear too, or conflict with it.

Changing a mod is not as simple as removing folders... meshes have texture paths actually in the mesh (.nif), and that solid, single coloured texture (usually purple or pink) is the mesh itself, because its skin (the texture file, those .dds files you removed) are AWOL.

Try getting the OMOD if you want to be able to switch between nude/underwear versions at will, but you'll likely have a couple of problems if you use custom races. (every time you deactivate/activate the OMOD it will reinstall the meshes and textures, potentially overwriting the Hi-rez ones, or any custom ones)

Uhmm, now let's see ... I don't have underwear meshes.. What I tried to remove before was mainly everything that named "underwear" within the texture folder. I looked at mesh folder, especially in imperial folder, there's no "underwear" file in there or in _male folder. Am I missing that file? I have this femalelowerbody.nif but I think it got nothing to do with my problme, is there? Hmm..

The underwear mesh is included in the body mesh when you picked the underwear version of the mod. That way, it can never be taken of when you strip your character or NPCs of armor or clothes. You'll have to install the nude version of the body mod if you want to see them completely naked.

The underwear meshes are part of that lowerbody mesh. What the nude body mods do is replace that and the upperbody one with different versions, but they have the same name. If I were you I would simply download or deactivate/reactivate the body mod you want in its nude version.

 

Here's the OMOD Link for the full HGEC body by Raiar, madcat221 and originally by exnem... I think. Might have got those in the wrong order. :D

I have to go now, I'll have to check the original HGEC mod to find the particular underwear meshes.. Oh, yeah.. What I do from the beginning is like this :

1. Installed both nude and underwear version of HGEC in OMOD (I activated underwear version)

2. Got Super High Rez Skin texture for HGEC, it needs nude version of HGEC to be activated so I activate the nude version.

3. Replaced all the textures with the new textures but I believe it's completely nude.

4. So I get this underwear file from HGEC folder

 

It works fine, but when I want to switch back to nude version, ... bad stuffs happens..

1. Installing both is not possible. You can install only one, either underwear or nude at once. If you install another, the latter will overwrite the former.

2. Body texture doesn't care about nude or underwear. It simply replaces skin texture on body parts.

 

What kind of bad stuff happens?

Oh it's been solved, I found out which one went wrong. I copy some mesh files from HGEC nude fplder then replace my current one (I forgot what did I do to them =/) and it's solved! With underwear file (dds I think) is still there. So when I want to switch between nude/underwear.. ehr, just copy back the one from before I overwrite.

 

1. Uhm, they're both installed but I only activate one of them while the other is installed but inactive.

You can use 'Set Body and Set Body Self'(Requires OBSE) to make your character nude in-game, on-the-fly.
