opheliastornoway
I've had a bit of a look around but haven't managed to find anything (this is a bit of a useless disclaimer, actually, given how lost I get on the simplest of forums. Oh, well). Is there any way of altering your player character's appearance once you've begun the game? A programme I can use, files I should play with? Or am I stuck with my poorly-designed Warden forever?
MalachiDelacot
I had a plain looking wood elf but changed her into a much better looking babe. If I remember, this puts you in where you generate your character. Do a save first, just in case. Console command: showracemenu WARNING: Using this menu will reset all of your skills to their default initial settings. (If you edit your race, instead of clicking "done" when you are done, leave the race menu open with the console up and save your game. When you reload it your race/looks will be changed like you wanted them to be and your skills will not be reset.) Using this command while wearing bound items may crash the game. Hope this helps. opheliastornoway
And now I sound like an idiot again ... what is the console? I'm playing on a PC. Or is it a mod/cheat item, like the Tombstone on Sims2?

MalachiDelacot
Might be for Fallout. I thought "Warden" was a character's name. Haven't gotten Fallout3 yet since I want to finish Oblivion first. Sorry I can't help you.
opheliastornoway
Methinks this thread be for Dragon Age. :whistling: Yup, Dragon Age - the Warden is the PC's title, I guess. I've managed to find one thread that suggests doing some sort of file switcheroo, so ... fingers crossed!
DarkeWolf
there is a way to update your character's appearance. It means creating a new character morph for the character. The easiest way to do it is by creating a new character with the face you want, playing that character till you get a chance to savegame, and then loading that save, and one of your primary char's savegames up in the toolset. you then copy and paste the morph name from the new character, to the old character.http://www.dragonagenexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=449 tutorial for what you need to do. Good luck :)
