The people who are for this sort of thing have no interest in the organic rights of man. That's why I didn't bring it it up. If they did care they wouldn't have voted him for him in the first place or be cheering Obama's 'Change'. And he never said it was going to be change for the better.

I make 200K plus and have five employees and they will be getting the boot if this bill passes and THEY know it. They will be replaced by contract labor and if they want to hire back on and pay their own taxes and their own insurance that's fine but Obama and his BS health care are not going to gank me out the money I earn or my business. I can show a loss right now to knock me down below the 200k mark anyway. :P

I come from a Socialist country with universal health care. Very generous health care. Everyone in the world comes to the good, kind generous UK to get health care for free. Oh and, by the way, one from which Obama probably gained many of his ideas on pushing through laws without due process and proper recourse to elected representatives. It happens in the UK all the time, executive orders signed rather than a vote in Parliament.

I work on a Government welfare to work scheme. My tax is deducted from my salary before it ever hits my bank. My customers frequently tell me "I am not taking that (expletive) job, I'm better off on the dole as I can then get free this, that and the other on the National health" and laugh in my face as if to say "And you are paying for it, you silly old bovine..."

And you know what? Yes, the IMF and the World Bank have issued an economic health warning for us. We CANNOT AFFORD this and are going bankrupt faster than Greece and Portugal! Citizens of the USA, do you REALLY want to be in that position? I thought not. Good luck in defeating the Obama proposals!

@Kendo: So even with one hand tied behind your back you're more right than most people? :)

@Fizz: Thank you! If anyone does any research on countries with similar programs they will find similar results: either care rationing or bankruptcy!

DK is not bankrupt yet, neither are Sweden nor Norway, Finland or Holland.

But I hear your tax rates can be pretty high though. That's why we have a lot of Swedes over here.

Sure we pay a high tax, however when we got our paycheck, we don´t have to pay a rather expensive insurance too.

A friend of mine (Danish) lived all his live in UK, until he got cancer, and got treated at UK hospitals, until the doctors gave up,

then the insurance would not pay any more. Message: "you`r dying" "we don´t pay"

So he had to go home to good old DK and die. Her you can still die for free.

So in other words, my commitment on the battlefield means nothing to you. Had I died, my life would have been worthless. If you don't think you should pay for my healthcare, I don't think soldiers should defend this country on your behalf. Dog eat dog world right?

And nothing's been forced down anyone's throat. It's taken fifty years to get to this point and Obama wasted a year trying to talk to people like you. What's the point in reconciliation? I suppose you liked it better when the Republicans were in office, raping the American public. They listened to nobody. And screwed over everyone. If this bill passes, we can begin molding it to our liking. But there's need to be a first step otherwise, we will become slaves to corporate interests.

And your government has only two duties? Tax and defend? You don't really believe that, do you? So you don't want roads and waste disposal? You don't want your food inspected? You don't want libraries, or public schools, or police officers, or firefighters, or a post office? You don't want scientific advances into outer space? You don't want public parks, or many of the other services that were voted on by citizens? You just want "tax", and "defence", huh? Got to the Middle East and live there, then. There's many groups over there who are willing to "tax", and "defend" you. Try the Taliban. Plus, they don't have any of the things you don't want. You should love it there.

Why are you being a jerk? Is a condescending, and scornful tone really necessary?

Of course I passed the A.S.V.A.B. And I'd tell you my field but I'm sure my high level of education wouldn't impress you.

I'm not delusional. I have common sense, and believe in patriotism and morality. And the financial ruin of the entire world was brought on by the Republican party, and corporate interest from insurance companies like AIG. Yet, people want to keep this system, and continue shoveling money into the pockets of CEO's. That's a fact of reality. To think a corporation has your best interest in mind, is truly delusional. And to think you're somehow safe from having your health care pulled for any and no reason, is even more delusional. So I'm not sure what corrupted frame of mind you're coming from, but I just came from a country that doesn't have any of the amenities established by a civil government. It's not pretty. Reality my friend. This is reality.

Also, if you don't agree with public health care, then why stop there? Stick by your convictions, and advocate the removal all government funded programs. That way, you can keep all of your money to yourself. (provided a mob of deranged lunatics doesn't take it from you)
