LHammonds
When you say "translucent" what part are you wanting to be "see-thru"? The blade? As if it were glass-like? If so, 3 things will need to be done to get the correct effect: 1. The weapon model will need to be modified so that the blade and handle are separate objects and using different materials (the blade using the material EnvMap2). The handle will need the inside (which will now be "visible") modeled to include additional faces.2. When exported, the NiTriStrip for the blade will need the NiAlphaProperty attached to it (with the flag changed from 237 to 4845 for proper transparency)3. The alpha channel of the diffuse texture will need to be added/modified so that the correct amount of transparency is applied to the blade and none to the handle...the result DDS will need to be exported as DXT5 to preserve the alpha channel. Here is an example of an original (completely opaque) sword, one with transparency added without proper modeling and transparency with a correctly modified handle. http://www.tesnexus.com/imageshare/images/128909-1205723293.jpg LHammonds
