Roxdad
This seems as odd to me as any issue I ever had with Oblivion... and I have been playing (and fixing) for a few years now. My problem is that I can't seem to find a way to correct this issue, and I have unloaded and reloaded mods a-plenty, partly because I am not sure exactly when this became an issue. Some time around when I added The Elsywer mod and Trantilvaina quest mod, I think... but again I really can't say. But My Char will not use any Throne, chair, bench, or stool. When I activate the seat, she just stands in front of it. And some of the times, after waiting a few minutes, the Toon will relocate to the nearest door way.... but when I attempt to activate the door, back to the seat that she won't sit on. Until tonight I simply just ignored the problem and didn't waste the time trying to sit down... but I am working on a new Character and decided to complete the Main Quest. I am in Luther Broad's and when it comes time to sit to continue the story line, no sitting. And "Boris" won't make his next move until I am sitting. So, any ideas? And please, the last thing I want to do is re-install this game AGAIN. If it turns out that re-installing the game and all of the mods I run is the only way to fix this, then I will just ignore the Main Quest... it's not like I haven't finished the game a few times, so I really don't NEED to do the Main story. Thanks for taking the time to read this, and for any suggestions that may come my way.
bamspeedy
You aren't using TAI (turning off AI in the console), are you? That would prevent the player from sitting down in a chair. Otherwise my guess would be a missing 'sit-down' animation. You could 'set stage' in the console to bypass that part of the quest: On the PC, it is possible to use the console to advance through the quest by entering setstage MQ05 stage, where stage is the number of the stage you wish to complete. It is not possible to un-complete (i.e. go back) quest stages. See SetStage for more information. See this page for the different stages: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:The_Path_of_Dawn

I am not using TAI, but I have use a "setstage" command in past mods (Darkbrotherhood) so I am familiar with the process. Again thank you for your time, and the speedy reply
