Mmagus
Hi all. It seems that its a roll of the dice as to what mod weapon or armor will show up in Awakenin but I have found a way to get around it consistantly. First install the Winter Forge mod in Orgins, then modify an item on the forge, don't forge a new one, just modify an ingame item, dont' rename it. When you port your character from Origins into Awakening the now modified item comes right over every time. Enjoy

But sorry, I haven't worked with the modifying items yet (except to enchant). Do you mean a simple color change? Can that even be done? And if so how? hdhd
I tried doing it with a script but somehow they aren't working in Awakening (perhaps I'm just doing something wrong), when I loaded the Origins campaign the items were added without a problem but when I loaded a savegame from Awakening no items were added. Hopefully Bioware will release a new version of the toolset with an Awakening module because for now it is not possible to edit the scripts. Alternatively on nexus there is a mod called "DLC to work with Awakening" (http://www.dragonagenexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=874) that should bring the items into the Awakening campaign if you haven't the mod Winter Forge. (I think it isn't the best solution because this mod overrides core files but it works at least.)

I am not changing the color, or name of the items. For instance I took a pair of "Spirit Gloves" put them on the forge, then using it in override mode I cleared the enchantment on it and replaced it with what I wanted. Afterward I saved my Origin game. Then I started a new game in Awakening and chose to import the character with the items. When I got to the first fight I hit pause and there they are inmy inventory. DarkeWolf
That makes sense. As they use a custom skin for the warden armor. So putting a different named armor type would botch the link to the texture file. Nice, good point!
