YoungBloods1211
I've just discovered the PC's version of oblivion after playing it for XBOX 360. and now I'm using OBMM and a bunch of other mods and i have no idea if there safe. Now my first question is: Is Oblivion Mod Manager safe? and Can it auto sort my files into there correct positions?
minutegold
OBMM does nothing that could, even potentially, damage your computer, and software that has been on the nexus for some time is generally free of anything dangerous. (BTW: Get Microsoft Security Essentials, if you do not have decent mallware protection. It's free, lightweight and awesome.) OBMM does not sort your mods, however. Try BOSS instead. Graewolph
I second minutegold on this and while I hav'nt used Boss myself for sorting, Obmm is very stable and for others playing Fallout mods (another game) Fomm is a great tool. Just wanted to put my 2 cents in =)
LHammonds
OBMM is safe in that it can help you manage all the mods installed on your computer...much better than trying to do it manually. Sure, you could install mods manually but problems can crop up when you start updating existing mods as well as cleanly removing mods. I have a web site dedicated to helping you learn to use OBMM...I see OBMM as an essential tool for modding Oblivion...check my sig for the site.
