pkleiss
The first time you run the geck, you have to load a master then save to create your esp. So startup the Geck, then go to File -->Data. Then double click in the box next to Fallout3.esm so there's an 'X' in the box and click the OK button. Now the Geck will load all the resources from fallout3.esm. It take a while. When it done, click the save button and enter a name for you mod. Once you have done this your mod will be a child of fallout3.esm and will load that file when you load your mod. To load you mod the second time you go into the Geck, you have to go to File --> Data, then click on you mod to highlight it, then click the 'Set as Active File' button so you See the words next to your mod change from 'Pluggin File' to 'Active File' then click the OK button to load your mod and fallout3.esm automatically. 123rune20
When I try to open my saved .esp, it fails?
pkleiss
When I try to open my saved .esp, it fails? What do you mean it fails? Hoe does it fail? What happens? CTD? Any error message? The Geck takes a minute or two to load a mod, so you have to be patient.
