Just out of curiosity. Which would be the best upgrade, to get a better FO3 experience. More ram or a better graphics adapter.

My rig: Intel Q9300, quad-core, 2,5GHz on a Gigabyte MB. 4Gb Pc2-6400 Ram. NVidia GeForce 8800GT graphics adapter, 512Mb.

My MB does NOT take kindly to overclocking. :(

My mods : About 140 mixed candy. NPCs, weapons, texture-enhancers, quests, new areas -you name it. BTW: No CTDs -almost

Where is my weak spot? (Apart from too many mods :whistling:)

If your going to be getting a 1gb or higher video card, you'll need to upgrade the power supply first in order for the 1gb or higher cards to function smoothly, you'll need a 500watt power supply for the 1gb or higher cards, I did a power supply and video card upgrade Last October and it cost me $250 Canadian to do so, that's the labor as well!..

I bought a 500watt power supply and a 1gb GDDR3 Radeon HD 4850 video card, not the best, but the game sets my game setting's to ultra high now!..

Ask around at several forums and make a wise decision before following through with upgrades, like if your towers case is big enough and the video card well fit etc!..

Thanks. Might look around for a more powerful card. My power supply is already at 550w. It came with my Antec case. Might have to be careful about the lenght of a new card though. The GT8800 had to be shoehorned in, because I placed a 120mm fan to cool the harddrives

Any idea if more ram will do any good? I'm thinking about the sheer number of mods. The game gobbles up a truckload of ram, as far as I can see. I am running Win 7, 64 bit.
