This project is to try to script a new "dlc" to allow for the reconstruction of the wasteland.

 

This includes:

 

1 multiple stages of reconstruction world spaces (textures and models of stages of reconstruction)

2 reconstruction quests

3 rebuilding of a form of small government

4 scripting of a world police force like oblivion

5 voice acting files

6 scripting of a progressive "make wasteland green" mod to revive the plants of the wasteland as the purifier continues to function

7 scripting of random attacks on purifier and breakdown of purifier if defenders fail

8 scripting of "repair the purifier" quest with new items to repair or upgrade the purifier.

9 scripting, modeling, animating, and textureing of a robotic atmosphere radiation scrubber system (something akin to rc planes about 6 feet across

10 scripting of a "para-paramedic" and "life-line vertibirds" with options to retain their services for X,XXX caps per month (replaces death of pc when in use, basically if you die you wake up in a vertibird outside new medical center, para-paramedic will parachute in when you call them on the new cell network and provide healing and medical supplys)

11 modeling, textureing, and scripting of a new Cell Phone network

12 scripting of a "Build your own Fort and run a automated protection service" complete with hundreds of hire-able NPCs who will replace the "police force" assigned to cities and settlements based on your actions during quests for those places. a percentage of their pay will go to the funding of your Fort to upgrade it.

13 scripting of a random crime system to make NPCs who have varying degrees of evil karma to commit crimes, and be punished if caught

14 addition of hundreds of NPCs appox 1/4 of which will be to commit crimes to fuel the Build your Fort module.

15 scripting of a "population growth" module to allow possibility of population growth.

16 scripting of a "Underground resistance" to the newly formed government and police forces.

17 scripting of a "Revenge of the Enclave/radiers/slavers* module where the enclave is forced to make allies with raiders and slavers to survive not unlike the remnents of the empire in starwars

18 scripting of the "Great Opening" module. great opening module will be news of reconstuction making its way to hundreds of small private vaults across the wastland, and the opening of the Vault-Tec "Ark" vault where the descendants of the USAs politicians are living.

19 Cure for mental and aggressive issues concerning supermutants

20 scripting of a cellular regeneration formula for the less rotting ghouls (sorry we are classing feral ghouls as animals due to the complete destruction of the higher brain functions and the extreme aggression they possess, though i hear there is a Feral Ghoul trainer moving in from the pit who has success at training them to do simple tasks as well and lowering aggression response through INTENSE and very dangerous therapy sessions)

21 scripting of a Feral Ghoul trainer complete with "tame those ghouls" quests

 

this project is not expected to be finished until jan 2011 at earliest due to the need to upgrade my pc and the shear amount of modding to be done, however i will be making small progress until upgrades are done, hopefully i will be able to cut the release date in half.

 

i will be looking for talented scripters and NPC creators in the future to resolve the massive scripting and npc challenges present in the project.

same goes for talented building modelers to provide a large selection of styles to the wasteland

 

 

THIS IS A MASSIVE MOD, THE RELEASE DATE MAY BE PUSHED BACK IF PROBLEMS ARISE

ALL UPDATES WILL BE POSTED HERE

AN INDEPENDENT STORAGE SITE MAY BE PROVIDED TO ACT AS A MODDER RESOURCE FOR THIS PROJECT, ACCESS WILL BE GRANTED TO THOSE WHO WISH TO HELP WHEN AID REQUESTS ARE POSTED, SITE MUST BE PASSWORD PROTECTED TO PROTECT THE SITE OWNER.

i think that might be a bit of an understatement. This would be an antirely new game. It would require umptean number of modders, huge amounts of time, massive play testing to every point and degree.

 

Can it be done?...sure, if the right people can dedicate the time it would require to make.

 

Looking at a lot of the mods on the nexus i can see a lot of them being incorporated into something like this, eg RTS...

it would be a Huge undertaking but if the right people can spare the time and resources?...ya i can see it happen but like you said...a year at least.
