A sword from Dragon Age.

Hey, folks! I've been a Nexus member for quite a while, now - and I've never made any requests. I'm not usually one to ask for things - but I figure this can't hurt.

There's a certain sword model they've used in both Dragon Age games I've always been in love with. It's simple, yet elegant.

If you've ever played a Human Noble in DA: Origins, I expect you are familiar with it.

I couldn't find a decent enough picture to post of the vanilla sword,(I don't have one of the Dragon Age games installed at the moment, either.) but there was an absolutely excellent re-texture of them done by Ghost11 for his Grey Warden Runic Armor mod over on the Dragon Age Nexus.

It's the 3 swords on the right I'm in love with.

Another picture from Ghost11's mod for posterity's sake.

I would be overjoyed to see this sword in Skyrim. I generally only use swords in games that have a full-blade scabbard, as I am a picky fool - but I'd overlook my silly preferences for this sword.

I figure using the textures in those pictures as a base for the Skyrim mod would be against one permission rule or another, so the general metal/silver blade and pommel with a black leather hilt would probably work nicely.

Or not. I'm not the one making the thing. Feel free to texture it however you like. (Assuming someone takes up the project, that is. I tried and failed miserably.)

Anyways, thanks for reading. Hopefully someone capable sees this!

Hmm, well, I doubt I can do the decoration down the middle all that well. But I guess if you were to get permission from the author, I probably could make a blade mesh for it. I'm just better at the mesh than at drawing regal motifs. Ah, who am I kidding, I suck at drawing.

Edit: hell, I could probably do the shield meshes too. But, yeah, fat chance of me drawing the eagle for it.
