SlurpinHD
Hello everyone, Today I am going to discuss something I find many you tubers that review mods do. Something that you tubers do is spawn in stuff. Now, I don't mean to cheat but to have fun or review a mod. Now I am not a you tuber but I find something else I need to ask... How should I play skyrim? You might think race? Nope. Class? Nope. Play style? Nope. What I mean is, Should I play skyrim like garrys mod? (I am not advertising)-(For you people who dont know g-mod its a sandbox modded game just for entertainment.) Why I say this is because I don't really do quests anymore like I use to when I just started the game. I do more like running around killing stuff, This does get boring and I don't find it to much fun. So, I am asking should I play with console commands and make wars? Have fun? Or play it the story line with dungeons and all that. I hope someone gets me on this topic because skyrim is getting boring. Or for me it is. So... Everything you need to know is Should I do consoles in skyrim or do the story line. Thanks guys, I really wanna know, I like skyrim. It just gets old doing the same things, NOW Let me tell you this, If I were to go with the console commands I would have so much more fun getting stuff. Thanks. P.S. You might ask: If you wanna do free mod then do it. Well, I am worried if I do I am Playing the game wrong. Thanks again. ddeadmau5
Well, I think you should do neither. I had that point when I didn't know what is there to do in skyrim cause I've done everything. Then I found this mod Frostfall Hypothermia + iNeed. It is perfect, kindof like survival and interesting. Going between towns selling stuff and on the way clearing dungeons. Thats what did it for me :)Console commands got really boring.
Signette
Using console in Skyrim breaks my immersion too much. I avoid using it as much as I can tho I'm forced to do so on rare occasions like fixing broken quest or removing some trash causing save bloating. I'd follow what ddeadmau5 said, and would add: If you want wars, and generally more alive world with some added spawns and skirmishes I'd suggest two brilliant mods:Skyrim Immersive Creatures and Immersive Patrols (recently updated with new awesome features). There are also similar mods with different features, try search categories/filters/etc.Also don't forget large territory quest mods like Falsaar, Wyrmstooth and etc. Try recent Salem Arena if you haven't yet, adds tons of new gameplay hours and fun in general. P.S. Don't forget to endorse these awesome mods ;)
MethosTR
Generally it comes down to this. If you're bored sick of Skyrim, download an overhaul mod (or mods) such as SkyRE, Requiem, etc. Also try a combat mod like TK combat, Ultimate Combat, or whatever suits your taste. I've had Skyrim since it came out and have sunk around 500-600 hours into the game in total. Recently I installed SkyRE, Frostfall, and a slew of other mods to make the game more challenging. I have to say that it's revitalized my interest in the game for the time being.
Lord Garon
I don't think there's a "correct" way to play. I've done the "difficulty" mods, "immersion" mods, and HD mods. Now I'm doing new content mods, WITH the best of the previous three. Still fun, although I can just about ransack a vanilla quest ruin blindfolded. Hmmmm, a blindfold mod.... SlurpinHD
Hmm. Thanks everyone. I think I have made the decision to play the way it is suppose to be played. THEN After finishing the game, I will download the mods like iNeed and more real life mods, Thanks again everyone for posting this. P.S. I am glad there are still good people in the world :)
dennis20014
Yeah if you haven't been playing with mods, the world is open to you. You can find all sorts of new custom quests, and immersion mods that will change the game. Even something as simple as 'Expanded Towns and Cities' makes it awesome again. The recent update REALLY overhauled some of the cities. I was surprised and really dig it. Open cities like Morthal, Dawnstar etc. now have citiy walls around them along with many new shops. It's little things like that that can make you love the game again. Console codes make the game get old fast. I use to use them allllllll the time and I would get soooo freaking bored adding all this gear to my character and money etc.I still do this sometimes, if I need to restart due to removing a mod I didn't like or something, or if I have to fix a quest etc. Otherwise I just wouldn't touch it. You'll find the game WAY more rewarding without it.
