FCOM, Dificulty

Okay so i just got back into Oblivion. I love the game, and thought i'd give it a try with mods this time. I can definetly see what all the rage is about FCOM. Quality stuff, but was a real hassle to install. Jesus.

I installed the entire FCOM 9.9 package along with Natural Weather. Is the difficulty curve supposed to be like this? I understand the mod removes the dynamic leveling system for the monsters. I went to Kvatch, to the first Oblivion gate in the main quest, and a couple of imps charge out of the gate as always. But they are now joined by some little male without a father that look like someone crossed a goat and a triceratops. This thing hit me once, and i lose 60% of my health.

So i think okay this is just some tough monster you meet once in a while, but i enter the gate, and find even more of these things inside. There is no way in hell you can defeat them. The first one i had to sit on a rock and swing at it about 100 times while it couldnt hit me, to not die.

Reducing the difficulty seems to do nothing. What can i do?

Also: Do any of you have any good recommendations for good face texture mods? I got one called Natural Faces. The screenshots of it looked really good. But the mod doesnt show up in the mod order, so i dont think it works.

Feel free to suggest any mods you feel are must have.

Thanks

Yes, FCOM is suppose to make the game harder, but as long as you stay away from certain areas until you are higher leveled you'll be alright. I recently installed FCOM also, and haven't tried the main quest just yet with it, but there have been areas that I've went in and died within seconds. Just learn what your limits are and where to stay away from at the currant time.

As for natural faces, I don't use it, and have never tried it, but some of the re-texture mods don't have esp files, just the textures and meshes to change. Not sure if Natural Faces is like that or not, but you'd have to go into the game and see if there's a difference. If there's no difference make sure you have all the required files for it and installed it correctly.
