  1. I had found a mod that when activated gives you free items(armor or clothing, can't remember which) as soon as you loaded a game. If you have installed a mod recently then that might be what happened. Either drop some items, or use a Feather spell until you can unload your items where you want. If you are holding less then the encumbrance will allow, then check your most recent mods, and find if they are conflicting with others.
  2. I'd suggest getting OBSE if you don't already. Make sure you run Oblivion with the obse loader instead of the oblivion launcher. There are plug-ins from obse such as the oblivion crash prevention, and fast exit which both help prevent crashes. I would also suggest using BOSS and Wyre Bash. In order to post your mod list, run OBMM. Click Import/Export and find view load order. Copy and past the load order into your post.
  3. You have to run Oblivion through the obse launcher instead of the Oblivion Loader. obse v18 works fine, and have heard no one ever complain about it. If that doesn't fix the problem, try removing obge2, because I doubt All Natural would cause that unless you installed it wrong.
  4. Download Wyre Bash, and open the read me. It has everything you need to know about creating a Bash Patch. Also Wyre Bash merges everything that can be merged as long as you do it right, and can fix other problems created with mods. I'd suggest getting the Oblivion Crash Prevention for OBSE if you don't already. Also there is a program called Gamebooster which has helped me.
  5. If its red that means that the modification time is the same as another. To change the time, right click on one and go to file, then redate. After the new window comes up click ok you change it to the current date and time, and keep doing that until no mods have the red bar on them.
  6. If that doesn't work, just activate one or two mods at a time until the problem comes back, then you'll know which it is. Make sure you are starting your game with obse_launcher instead of the Oblivion Loader.
  7. If you are running Vista and have installed Oblivion in the Program files, then that is why BOSS isn't working. To fix this you must turn off UAC before you run BOSS. To do this use Run ad type in 'msconfig' without the 's. Next click on Tools and scroll down to Disable UAC. You can turn it back on after running BOSS, unless you are wanting to make a few more changes before. If you don;t want to have to keep doing that, then do a clean install of Oblivion anywhere other then the Program Files.
  8. You have to move the meshes and textures as well into the data file, as well as any other folders that where found in the same mod.
  9. I know you probably already have it, but do you have all the requirements for the mod? For Sexy Companion 2 you need the body replacers for both male and female. Make sure you are still running Oblivion with the OBSE instead of the Oblivion Launcher. If you already have these then try getting the Crash Prevention plug-in for OBSE. That's about all I can offer now.
  10. Yea, I've looked at that link several times. Anyways I think I solved the problem. Either that or my computer just decided it didn't hate me any more, but disconnected from my router the last few times and no crashes. So, thanks for your help.
  11. Ok, it's really getting out oh hand. At one point I thought I had gotten rid of it, but now my game CTDs every time I play. It never happens in the same place, or doing the same thing. I've downloaded Oblivion Crash Prevention plug-in for OBSE as well as Fast Exit. They've helped a lot, but I'm still getting CTDs quite commonly. I've Defraged my hard drive, ran a disk cleanup and a registry clean up. I run a program called gamebooster that shuts off everything windows doesn't need running to save RAM for any game you want to play, and can turn them back on after you are done. I have the official and unofficial plug ins for Oblivion and SI. I've tweaked my ini to get better performance. At this point I don't know what else I can do to at least to get fewer CTDs. Can someone help me out? Also another question that's not related, but when being attacked I'll turn invisible and they keep attacking. I can understand one hit or two if they were in the middle of an attack, but I've had them continue to attack like I was completely visible. Is this common, or is something messing up?
  12. 1. Just save it as the same name, or just click the save button. 2. What OS are you running? If its Vista then that's your problem. Download and install OBMM, and when running it, it should ask to move files from the Virtual Store(or something like that) answer yes, and your mods will be moved back. To prevent this from happening every time you should install Oblivion anywhere other then the Program Files because Vista won't allow any changes to anything installed there unless you click and drag it there yourself.
  13. Ok, a few things to do. Download and install BOSS so you never have to ask what the load order should be. Second, make sure you are running Oblivion from the OBSE loader and not the Oblivion Launcher. Third, if its your computer I recommend getting a program called gamebooster that when running shuts off everything your computer doesn't need running to play games, and after you are done you can make it turn everything back on.
  14. Wyre Bash has many uses. It can easily tell you which mods conflict, and for most mods can help fix the confliction(if two mods add a house/cave/ect in the same place then this can't help). BOSS helps you with your load order making the mods you have load so that they don't overwrite the wrong mods. Someone else might want to elaborate on these things as well, but that's the basics. For Ranger Armor I suggest Ranger Armor and Light Daedric Armor. There are tons of great quest mods, but you'll have to be specific on what you like for us to suggest anything for you.
  15. Posting back here would be fine, and glad I could help. If you have any more questions feel free to ask.
  16. I would suggest getting Streamline, OBSE with the Stutter Remover, and Polygone Overhaul. They have helped me a lot. Also there is a program called GameBooster, run it before you play any game. GameBooster shuts off everything you computer doesn't need to run while playing a game, and lets you load them back after you are done.
  17. I'd suggest FCOM since all four mods add tons of monsters and items, but if you don't want all 4, then Martigen's Monster Mod, or Francesco's leveled creatures/items mod. Didn't quite pay attention to what monsters WarCry adds, but I know that Martigen and Frans adds tons.
  18. Yes, you can alter other mods in the CS, but they wouldn't be allowed to be uploaded unless the original author said it was ok. If you do upload your mod then yea, it would be a good idea to mention any mods you know of that conflict with such as TreesinCities. If you mod just the Skingrad area then it won't effect the other areas. To do that you would have to go to every area that it effects and change them.
  19. Ok, I have a strange question. Is there a list of all the items, and monsters the FCOM adds. I would like for pics of them to. If there isn't would it be possible for someone to make one?
  20. Downloaded a mod that every time you die you are sent to an Oblivion plane with a certain amount of your stuff left behind instead of reloading your game. At one point I died and looked in my inventory to find out what was missing. The only things I have left was my gloves, mask, one magic ring, and potions(there were other things, but nothing that was going to help). My character isn't a mage in any way shape or form, and doesn't use hand-to-hand. The only thing saving me was the fact the the race I choose(Moon Elf from Xenius) have a lesser power of invisibility. Even then there was one or two of the dremora that for some reason could see through my invisibility.
  21. Well, there are several reasons for this. Your save game could be corrupt, and won't load ever(wrye bash might be able to fix it, not sure). Another reason would be mod conflicts in the area where the saved game was saved. Or if you uninstalled some mods it may require those mods, because its trying to load the mod for that area. To fix the later you maybe able to use wrye bash, but if you are going to uninstall mods, make sure you are in a house, cave, ect. that the mod doesn't effect and you'll have a better chance of it still working.
  22. OBMM - Helps manage mods, and if used right can make installing mods a lot easier too. BOSS - Manages your load order so your mods don't conflict as much(make sure to download the latest masterfile for it as well) Wyre Bash - Shows which mods conflict with other mods, and can fix the conflictions to make them work together. For some reason OBSE's main site isn't loading. It might be downright now, but just search around for Oblivion Script Extender and you'll find it. It'll let you use more advanced mods. Ok, first did you activate the mod under Data Files after running the Oblivion Launcher? If not then no you wont find them in the game. You must activate them first. If you did activate them, or they don't show up in the Data Files then you installed then incorrectly.
  23. [More then likely you downloaded a non-english mod that changes names or something. Find out with mod it is, and download the english version if available. In order to find out which one you'll have to unactivate them all, and start adding them back a few at a time until it appears again, then just narrow it down. If it has only appeared recently, then check your most recent mods.
  24. Well if it says its compatible then it must be. I would search for an install guide for them, and see if you made a mistake. More then likely you made a slight mistake installing the mods, and its causing you problems.
  25. Well, depending on the mod you won't see it working until later. There are a lot of mods now that require the official and unofficial updates for Oblivion, and also OBSE. I would also recommend getting OBMM, BOSS, and Wyre Bash if you don't already. Other then those programs to help with your mods, you need to be a little more specific on what you mean by wont work. If you are seeing yellow stars with big exclamation marks then you installed meshes wrong. If you are seeing invisible clothing and creatures(well, more like not seeing the clothes and creatures) then you installed the textures wrong. Also make sure you activate the mods before you run Oblivion. You can do this one of 3 ways. You can use either Wyre Bash or OBMM to pull up the list, or run the Oblivion launcher and go into Data Files and check them.
