Glyre
Recently I downloaded Ren's Beauty pack, but every time I try to use it to create a character, his face is either invisible, or all black/brown. The hair does the same thing as the face. I tried to change the face color, and while it changes, it does not give me a desirable appearance--instead, shifting the scrollbar all the way over to "green" literally makes the face green. Hopefully someone can help me fix this.
Pineapplerum
You installed the files wrong somewhere. Redownload the mod and also open it on your desk top then go to your C:...\Bethesda\Oblivion\data folder and open that up.Click on the newly downloaded mod files and see what folder each file is supposed to go in-have them side by side so it's easy to compare. See if what you had installed matches. You'll find something that you didn't put in the right folder. Put it where it belongs and then try it again. I tried that and it worked--although now I'm having problems with another mod. For some reason, Viconia DeVir from the Viconia DeVir-Underdark Saga mod has a black face and black hair--is this another installation problem, or because I have Ren's active at the same time? ZareCograth
I've used Ren's for a long time and have yet to come across a problem with other mods because of it. So more then likely it is another installation problem since Ren only adds a race and hair, and doesn't mess with anything else.
Pineapplerum
Recheck your installation like you did with Ren's. I've had no problems with Rens mod with other mods either. Look at the discriptions of the mod page you downloaded these two mods from and see if there are any known conflicts on either Rens or Viconias. Read the comments and see if anyone else is having the same problem. If there is a conflict-I'm sure the modder would have written about it on their discription page. You'll figure it out. Try not to be discouraged.

Zella
DsSn3aksz - I have had a similar problem of not being able to display and change Mystic Elf's hair. I was able to get around that by un-checking a mod in my Data list that added some Nec High Elves (It was NOT the mod that enables you to create and play one. It only added them to that one particular mod.). When my new character was completed and saved, I could check that mod again and all worked well. I do not know if this has anything to do with your difficulty or not, however. It is just one possibility to consider. In my case the default elf had the hair of the prior race that you cycled through in the face generation program and would not change. Other than that one instance, I have had no problems with the version _Ren_Beauty_plus_Soya_Hair_Final-14451.7z, and have not noticed others complaining of problems with it. I do see a lot of people having trouble with the other versions, such as the one you are using, but have not seen the reason or the fix. All versions require careful attention to placing files and folders where the computer is told in the esp to look for them. I usually unpack the mod into a new folder open next to the open Oblivion Data folder and make certain that the path in both windows match- such as Data\Meshes\Characters or Data\Textures\Characters. Otherwise you hide the files and the program cannot find them. If you find a fix, please return and share it with others here. If others had done so, it would have helped a lot of people over many years.
