Xelan255
Hey guys (and girls of course), I'm currently working on a few personal tweaks for my main Skyrim playtrough. I'm using Enchanting Awakened,, which I want to alter for my personal use (maybe published if egocarib gives me permission), but I ran into trouble doing so. What I want:A higher number of enchants on my gear. I would prefer to do so without modding the original mod. What I tried:1. Adding a new perk above the three end-perks, which allowed more enchants per item. Resulted in breaking the perk tree ingame almost completly, similiar to the attached screens, just with only one perk at the very top.2. Modding the three end-perks to give a higher number of enchants. My intend was to overwrite the original perks by my modded ones, which get load at last. Ingame result was: nothing 2.1: After reloading Enchanting Awakened with my little alteration in the CK I figured out that the intendet overwrite just didn't worked, because the perk IDs were identical, so my modded perks where marked as duplicated. I tried to replace the original perks with mine, which resulted in the two screens below. In case the screens are too tiny (had to resize them to upload here): The perks after the second tier (except essence gambit) just disappeared (so eight are missing) until the last tier. These are the modded versions, with correct tooltip, in the right position, but unobtainable, because.. well... there is stuff missing. So far I only made a few personal mods for New Vegas or Skyrim to alter the appearence of certain armors or to make special arrows. Altough I watched a few Youtube tuts, this is the first time I'm messing with perks and I have no idea how to proceed. I hope i made myself clear, my english may be a bit rusty
lofgren
There is a guide for making plug ins based on plug ins here: http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/754151-tutorials-without-youtoob/page-2&do=findComment&comment=6035531 You can use this technique to create a new plug in that modifies the three end perks. Xelan255
Repost, since I have new info, hence a new problem. Making EA a parent worked, thanks for that. I also got the perk I wanted ingame, showing correctly, but the actual effect Im trying to achieve just doesn't show up.I've made a 5 ranked perk, which alters the "Mod # applied enchantments allowed", and skilled it ingame, but when I want to enchant something, I'm stll only able to make two enchantments. I've tried with multply value, as well es added values, but neither of them seems to make any difference. I moved EA with my mod at the end of the load order, to ensure that nothing conflicts (altough I'm pretty sure that nothing would), but it's still not working. Are there any other values besides "Mod # applied enchantments allowed" I'll have to change? I couldn't find anything related to enchantments, except the perks. Edit says: Got it. Problem was the prior perk, which said "set value" and was treated with the same priority as my new perk, which said multiply -> "set value" had overwritten my multipliers all the time. Instead of making a new perk I extended the existing one. Works now. If I get a positive response from the original author I'll upload it, in case anyone's interested Edited July 16, 2014 by Xelan255
