Now I know why they do it!

I use to go through the mods and after I downloaded them and installed them into my game, I always wondered why they would spend so much time on something they don't get paid for. Haha! Now I know.

I think I'll become more of a decorative modder for exteriors and interiors. I'm not going to get into the quests, body/hair/make-up, weapons, etc...

It's like being God. I say "Let there be a beautiful village!" and there is a beautiful village! It's addicting.

I can't wait until I get really, really good and do anything I want without having to hurt my brain trying to do it. Yays!!! And Yays again!!!

For everyone who's helped me either directly or by writing long boring (wink) manuals on modding-thank you, thank you, thank you and especially to all the modders here on Tes Nexus who've inspired me! I'm super psyched! Can't you tell.

I think you're going to love my mod when I upload it. It'll be awhile because I want it to be so beautiful you'll be awestruck when you walk into Skingrad and look around after downloading it.

By the way..for future reference and it will be awhile before I'm ready but I'm putting out feelers now. Would anyone like to test my mod when I'm finished? I'm not doing anything too complicated..it's all just decoration stuff. Please send me a PM if you'd be interested in giving me feedback and letting me know if it conflicts with any other mods. I'll probably ask again when I'm closer to being finished.

LHammonds says the real game is the CS. Oblivion and FO3 are just for testing what you do.

I actually heard somebody on the Bethsoft forums say something like that a long time ago and it just rings true for me and many others.

EDIT: I'm trying desperately to remember who I saw say it but like so many other memories, I am drawing a blank (happens more and more every year!)

Since LHammonds mentioned the BF, I also remember a topic made by a member there. That guy/girl tried to make some sort of list with the forums members and in general about the TES community. He/she classified "us" in a very interesting way, giving details as to why do centain people belong to the said categories.

I don't remember exactly all the categories, but in my opinion I think he/she was pretty close to the reality. So we have modders(few), advanced mod users with basic CS skills, experienced users that know how to handle most utilities and know to fallow instructions about mod installation, normal users, that know how to install mods, but are not very familiar with the different tools available and so on.

In the end we all play our part and the result so far as I'm concerned is a very good one, considering all the tools/guides/mods we have today.

As for your mod, good luck with it and I hope you'll enjoy modding.

Cheers,

Pushkatu!
